Can't recommend this comic enough if you're in the mood for crazy, epic sci-fi awesomeness.

looks good, think i'm going to get that and some other sci-fi comics.

is the new prophet series connected to the one from the 90's at all. I've flipped through a few issues and can't really get a good grasp on what it is about. it looks pretty trippy though.

Really loving the Wolverine MAX comics. I highly recommend them.

So I just finish Deadpool's original run 1-69. Quick question for someone else that has read it and further on...

Did he actually die when the castle exploded

Just read Sledgehammer 44. While I liked it, but both the art and story reminded of some of the early Atomic Robo issues wherein Robo is fighting Nazis. I'm only a casual reader of the Hellboy mythos so I'm sure I'm missing out on some things but I'm not sure I'd pick up issues if this were an ongoing series.

I wasn't impressed either.

This does have potential tho. The sledgehammer armor was actually introduced in The Iron Prometheus.

It runs on Vril, a mythical energy source, which was actually sought by the the real Nazis. This is probably my favorite part of Mignola's mythology.

They did a very poor job of tying this together to the rest of the BPRD universe. Hopefully the start to delve into all of that other stuff (and things), but if they continue down the iron man path ill bail on the title too.

I think the only connection this Prophet has to the old one are just the references. Other than that there's no connection. And it is pretty trippy and kind of confusing at first. But the more you read the more you know what's going on naturally.

It's doing a lot of world-building and slowly unraveling a huge, epic story. You should definitely stick with it.

Any of you guys read Daisy Cutter?

The creator was at a local university talking about his career in art. I bought the book afterwards for $10, it included all the issues, 1-4. Pretty good so far.

The creator, Kazu, does Amulet now and I guess it's a big deal with the kids. Really cool to hear his struggle and dealings with Disney/Hollywood.

Another question, why is it that some Marvel comics have free digital download and some don't? I bought several AvX spinoffs at my local shop for .25 and only 2 had free digital copy.

Byrne's run was amazing, and his art work back then was amazing.

So many epic stories in that run.

I disagree with you re: She-Hulk. You don't trade Ben for Jen. Sorry. I stopped reading it when that happened.

Believe me, Ben Grimm is my favorite hero, and when he wasn't in the FF anymore, I considered leaving it. I gave it a chance because I am such a huge Byrne fan. I did, and found that I still liked it, and She Hulk gave the book a new dynamic for awhile. I waited anxiously for the Thing to return.

I read the Thing's solo book, written by Byrne with bad artwork by Ron Wilson (RIP).

for you DC animation guys, Teen Titans Go! premiered tonight, and the replay is at 9:30 pm (mid time) on Cartoon Network

I'm gonna check it out, seems like a continuation of Teen Titans (2003-2006) which I enjoyed
