I wasn't impressed either.

This does have potential tho. The sledgehammer armor was actually introduced in The Iron Prometheus.

Why do you think I quoted the Lobster Johnson/Iron Prometheus cover?

Any of you guys read Daisy Cutter?

Good, fun buck. Not too deep.

Wasn't wowed by the poker, tho.

I wasn't sure if it was luck, you just recognized it on the cover, or if you knew the actual story behind it.

That's one of the few Lobster Johnson books I've read, so yeah. I like the universe of Lobster Johnson's time than I do the contemporary Hellboy stories. High tech paranormal Nazis make for great villains, which is why I guess I like Atomic Robo so much. Plus Robo is somehow manages to be pulpier, with some comic relief.

But I appreciate the explanation nonetheless.

I don't know anything about poker so I hope the story won't revolved around it too much. I read the first 10 pages, pretty good. Like you said, nothing deep but just a fun stress free read.

I just finished this. Dark Horse sent me a digital copy of all the issues for review for my blog.

Overall, it was a good story but it was rushed at only 4 issues or so.

It would have been better being a 12 parter and focusing more on Maul and his bro's relationship.

The ending was great though. Disney probably won't make a movie off this because it was pretty dark. The story overall and feel is better than the prequels. My first Dark Horse comic I read since back in the 90's with Terminator vs RoboCop.

Grade: B

Just read the two issues for East of West. Pretty kick ass comic so far.

Read the first three issues of Whedon's Astonishing X-Men so far. Enjoying it very much. Can't wait to delve deeper

Does anyone have any insight on the new 52? Primarily Batman? I don't understand the plot or the origin story whatsoever.

If you're a new reader, then it's understandable that you will be a little confused with the New 52 Batman titles since it's not part of the reboot and still retains all the history of the Batman books before the reboot. Same deal with the Green Lantern titles.

I thought all of the 52 were reboots(?) What I'm trying to grasp is if Aftershock, Earth Crisis, Knightfall and A Death In The Family did occur or are yet to occur.

after reading the last couple of pages of Fury MAX all i can say is what the hell is wrong with garth ennis? is anyone else sick of all the different universe ending stories going on in all the avengers titles? what happened to just kicking the shit out of villians? every story now has to put the multiverse in danger. the threats are so large it isn't fun anymore. if cap can't bang his shield off the head of the problem then what's the point? not a fan of hickman and hanging onto remender by a thread.:(

Anyone know where I can read some free Batman comics? Maybe even Justice League as long as it has a lot of Batman in it.

There's about 40 ongoing Batman titles and titles with Batman in them. Good luck.

depends, what Batman title are you reading right now?

Detective Comics?
Batman?
Batman and Robin?
Batman: The Dark Knight?
Batman Inc.?

the critically acclaimed title is Snyder and Capullo's Batman title which starts with the Court of Owls, Night of Owls, then Death of the Family storyline I believe
