American Vampire vol. 5 in hand. Finally got a hold of Busiek's Astro City, too, the 1st TPB.

Does anyone here have an opinion of Thanos Rising, is it worth Picking up ??

Its ok. The first couple of issues when he was a lot younger were pretty good. If you have the extra cash to spare or are a big Thanos fan then go ahead and pick it up.

Uncanny Avengers 9, people need to be reading this title, its a pulpy throwback comic and its getting better and better each and every week.

Pick up The Last Of Us (any issue) if you guys can still find it at your LCS.

They're already going for at least $15 per issue on ebay.

Supposedly the PS3 game it's based on is really good and it's setup to be a trilogy.

So yeah, easy money if you can find it.

Yeah cool thanks , I may pick it up , I've been growing my comic collection lately

seems like forever since I was on sherdog, don't worry guys I'm back!

Is it because of the Spurs?

OMG talk about a team freaking blowing it...

I was watching game 6 and the second that dude missed the free throw I was like this shit is over Heat are taking it.. and they sure as hell took it...

Such a waste because Ray Allen comes in an buries a crucial 3 pointer in that game and the Spurs completely gave it up..

Sad thing is the Spurs are the better all around team and they gave that shit on a platter to Lebron the d-bag...

Criminal Vol. 6 was really good, and a lot better than vol 5. I loved the Archie style art for the nostalgic scenes. Am I the only here that reads the series?

Related; in the Ultimate Universe Magneto can carry the hammer. I assume this is just his manipulating it with his magnetic powers?

That's just because Ultimates volume 3 fucking sucked in every possible way. As did the shitty event it lead too.

I quit comics it sucked so bad.

I was spending hundreds of dollars a month on comics, then the Teen Titans went and killed off basically everyone for no reason, JSA got a new writer and artist [?], same with Green Lantern, the after the rape of the Ultimate Universe that got me into comics...

Then about the time I tried to get back into comics the whole new 52 crap happened and erased all of the stories and characters I cared about. I have like 4 large boxes of comics that I'm too depressed to unpack.

I'm reading Kingdom Come now, first 2 volumes and not sure I'll finish it. Definitely overhyped for me.

The ending for Y:TLM is a bit of a let down. I was half expecting it near the end, so that was OK, and it's still a good read. But the ending is not as great as it could/should have been.

You were so right. Right up until the end, Y:TLM was incredibly good, but the ending was just bad. I really hope if they do a tv series or something they take the creative license to fix the ending. Still, overall, a very good book.

Just finished reading "The Lords of Luck" and that was pretty good. I hadn't read much of Supergirl before, she is a kind of endearing ditz. I also had never run into Blue Beetle and he seems hilarious! Any good starting point for him?

Looks like a good week this week. Batman 22, Superman Unchained 2, Start of the trinity event in DC with Justice League, Quantum and Woody, and XO. Don't think I left off any of the ones I get.

I didn't really enjoy Superman Unchained or Batman Year Zero starts, but I'm gonna roll with them

I did enjoy Batman/Superman, Jae Lee's art is awesome
