The card he main evented with robbie lawler was the least viewed in history was it not? (Fair enough it was a last minute change of opponent but still) How's he asking for more money?

I dont mean to be rude, but it amazes me that everyone does not see scarcity, poverty etc necessarily will exist in explotive systems like capitalism. They're the other side of the coin. Capitalism should not get the credit you are mistakenly giving

He was getting ready for [Tyron] Woodley, but Woodley was scared and he pulled out with a sore pinky. So Woodley didn’t want to get knocked out by Robbie, he was scared. He knows he got lucky the first time [they fought]. So I showed up on four weeks’ notice, without a training camp because I got a nasty cut from a head butt in the first week in training camp. I couldn’t even train. Pretty much had to run on the treadmill every day, that’s it. That’s not training timing, accuracy, all that. So I showed up with no camp, to save the UFC, to save the main event, to bring the First Family, to get the President Tweeting about the UFC. To get all the troops all over the world watching in their bases because I’m America’s and the troops’ favorite fighter.

“The UFC still doesn’t do good for me,” he concluded. “I make them millions and millions and they just continue to just pocket all that money, and they don’t want to pay me a fraction — not even 5% of any of that money. It’s ridiculous how they can pocket 95, 98% and not give the fighters anymore than the 2, 3%.”

This is the second time things escalate between Colby and Ufc. They apparently wanted to pay him peanuts again. I think Colby walks away to Bellator this time. Fitch would be nice fight

Going to Bellator? How exactly. He is under contract to the UFC and they are not letting him go. He has no leverage against them. Cyborg got cut loose because I expect the UFC was planning on cutting the first time she lost. She is far too expensive for the amount of revenue she generates.

The guys in the UFC that get favorable treatment are in one of two buckets:

You have guys like Gaedjthe and Askren who had well established MMA careers outside of the UFC and could play hardball to a degree when they got signed.

Then you have guys that have become superstars due to either being unbeatable (like Khabib), or needle movers like Nate and Conor.

Covington doesn't qualify for either bucket. He is annoying AF, tries way too hard to be relevant and frankly is pretty boring to watch. To be fair to the WW division, he Woodley and Usman could get cut tomorrow and PPV buy rates for the UFC would probably got up.
 
I'm surprised more fighters dont speak up on this topic. I always thought maybe there was some crazy confidentialty agreement the fighters sign.

Capitalist countries like the USA give more money and create more investment in third world countries than anyone else by far. World hunger would be solved if it wasn't for tribal politics in African countries destroying the infrastructure to maintain control of areas by drip feeding their people resources provided by the USA.

Also, homelessness is caused by alcoholism and drug dependency, not lack of money. Housing stock problems are an issue in places, but most homeless people are incapable of staying drug free and trouble free, so end up getting kicked out of any house they are given.

China used to have zero billionaires and 750 million living in poverty. Now it has many billionaires and almost no poverty.

Capitalism has been great but the Capitalist model used by Germany and Northern European countries the past decades is superior to quality of life, this is the model that brings in a quality social safety net and doesn't saddle their younger people with unpayable debt.

Maximalist Capitalism as observed by Trump being President has clearly failed. There are 20 million people who left the job market (guys in the 45 to 65 age demographic) the past 2 decades and have never returned because the jobs aren't there. The Double Dip recession of 2001 and 2007 basically wiped out 50% of the middle class.

American Capitalist leaders are still addicted to cheap labor (thus 20 million illegal immigrants).

Capitalist Maximalism has clearly failed, a turn to somebody like Bernie to bail out in debted Americans is necessary. Is it better than Russia and 50% of the shithole 3rd world? Of course, but the superior economic models shown by Northern Europe are the way this country needs to go. It'll probably just turn into Brazil 2.0 the next 30 years unfortunately.

Back on topic, Colby needs to go to Bellator.

Scandinavian countries and places like Switzerland voted against minimum wage, they have privatised social systems and their models aren't what they are portrayed to be by people like Bernie. They literally can't afford to pay their own security and armed forces budgets, and need the US to do it for them. They aren't economic utopias, far from it.

They are tiny countries compared to the US and are culturally homogenous so don't have to pay for and deal with most of the issues the US does like high crime rates. (low gidi coefficient)

Applying a high taxation model to a country with a 300 million population? Yeah good luck with that.

Always remember, Socialism is the transition period between capitalism and communism.

He is right but at the same time he is not a draw and he is trying to fight Dana which never works out in the end. Stupid move, Dana only cares about losing a draw like Conor, GSP or Jones. And even then I never seen a fighter be so well treat like Conor, mostly because of the boxing match that made Dana millions.

Colby tried to be s good loyal contractor and found out the hard way unless you are a major draw the matchups and pay not significantly improvements.lose a few and you likely get cut too. So Colby support a family fighters union, I doubt it.
