Is this the first Nolan film that doesn't revolve around a fantastical premise?
Insomnia was a straight-ahead crime drama.

Love this trailer at 1:15 with the guy saying "There's no hiding from this" and looking dead serious. I think it really sets the tone. It really makes the point, this evacuation needs to happen. There is no choice. We fight or we lose the war.
I thought they lived because the Germans stopped advancing. Wasn't the German decision at Dunkirk one of the key reasons they ultimately lost the war?
i hope im wrong, but i expect to get bored via an incredible mount of "waiting on the beach" scenes relative to the amount of action scenes
woah woah woah, no one can be the new M Night except M night, it's a level reserved only for him. just because you didn't like his last 2 movies doesn't mean he comes anything even remotely close to lady in the water
Nolan is way better than Shamalamadingdong.
No shit, comparing either of those to something like The Last Airbender is fucking absurd.
Of course he is. All I meant was that he was a visionary director who made some hits and eventually he got carried away and lost in his own bullshit. But Nolans best is better than M Nights and his worst is not as bad.
Signs was great. Unbreakable and 6th Sense are classics.
The rest, meh.
i can't say i understand how people like the village but a lot of people watch his movies so there is an audience for them i guess...different people different tastes and opinions, nothing wrong with that i suppose...but without a doubt lady in the water was the worst movie i ever saw and finally after watching the happening i decided i'm never going to waste my time on earth watching another one of his moviesThe Village is right up there with Signs, Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense for me.

signs and unbreakable were okay but not worth the risk of me watching another one
