Christopher Nolan's WWII Thriller DUNKIRK

Signs and The Village crush any of that cold ass shit that Nolan makes.

Not that I'm a Nolan hater. I'm salivating at the idea of watching Dunkirk this weekend. But can he deliver the M. Night experience when Night is on his A-game?

No, he cannot. He is less than.

lolwut?

Besides Inception, what other ambiguous endings has Nolan done?

And imo even tho the ending of Inception was ambiguous, it seems fairly clear to me that Dom was dreaming the whole thing and still asleep at the end.

He woke, man.

I'm all in for Dunkirk. I love Nolan. Didn't love the last 2 Dark Knights but Prestige, Memento, Interstellar, Inception, Batman Begins, that's 5 I love.

As for M.Knight I love: Signs, 6th Sense, Unbreakable, The Village. Throw in 1 I really liked in The Visit and it's close.

The movie is only 106 minutes. Seems rather short for an epic period war movie. I expected at least 130 minutes

This movie looks meh.

And for those of you conparing M Night to Noland , you got to be shittin!
No M.Night movie comes remotely close to Batman Begins.

Will watch in imax, though I will get very annoyed at the 1 sided story telling of this very interesting story.

I would like to see a scene of the 4 French divisions fighting at Leon. They held the Germans, who eventually had to destroy the city to move past it.

We will most likely see more heroic 9 year old brits than real soldiers.

oh and I am already rustled at the VO, "we will fight ... " blah balh blah. If the Germans hit the coast of England, they would have surrendered just like Poland, France, Holland, and so on.

am triggered.

They need to stop making WWII everything. Nothing will ever be anywhere near as good as Band of Brothers. Stop trying.

Saving Private Ryan would dominate Queerkirk

With that being said.. Going to see Dunkirk this Friday and I'm excite!!

Nope. I don't need to see it to tell you that Band of Brothers is better. I have it on blu ray, but if they had a 10 hour showing of it in the theater, I would go. That's how fucking good it is. I'd dress up and shit too. You would be able to tell who was a war room poster because they would be dressed up like the nazis. But they wouldn't have to rent the costumes. They own them.

I'm calling them all nazis. Come at me, bro.

I've been to Dunkirk. It was neat to see in real life. Some brick walls here and there still with bullet holes still.

Bands of Brothers is the Wire of War TV series.

I usually cry like a bitch at the segments where they get the actual veterans to recount their stories as well.

I would go to the cinema and watch the shit out of this with you Jack, no homo.

I saw a random episode on Bravo, decided to rent it at Blockbuster. Rented the first disk which was two episodes and was completely blown away. I returned immediately to rent the next disk but it was out. I went every single day for a week and it was never in. Finally, on Saturday, I snapped, went to Best Buy, and bought the box set (the one in the metal box).

I went home to binge and I watched the first two again because by God I was going to do it right.

Just as I finished the second episode, a friend called me and asked what I was doing. I explained and he said it sounded awesome and he'd be right over.

So, I watched the first two episodes for the third time in a week, and we watched the entire series through in one shot, finishing at six the next morning.

Worth it.

Best thing that has ever been on television.

Just going to post this scene, one of my favorites although I could say that about a dozen scenes.

The entire sequence is amazing.
