News Chris Weidman reveals 'bones aren't healing' correctly in leg, another surgery required

Its not uncommon for this to happen. Chris is getting some of the best care in the world. Barring an infection he will be fine. Also those calling for fighters to retire or saying they are past their prime. Why dont you let the fighter his family and his camp make those assessments or decisions. Most of you braddahs saying this are the same group saying Conor comes back and starches Dustin. To me Chris has had the better career and fought tougher competition. Anyting Weidman decides to do I will always be a fan.
What do you think about Weidman taking the esotheric pseudoscience "doctors" advice on his injury over actual medical professionals?

Wish him the best but not surptised

He's also an anti-vaxxer that values esoteric health tips over actual science
COVID Vaccine killed my grandma. She couldn't even enjoy the things that make a normal life, didn't make it to 30, never had the opportunity to have children. How do you justify that?

Hope he bounces back and continues rehab. Multiple surgeries suck!

That’s bad news, i really hope he makes a full recovery and enjoys retirement..

All the best to teh Chris, but it was probably not a good idea for him to start rehabbing and exercising so soon after surgery, per his social media posts

The timing was appropriate by most standards. There's a certain percentage of surgical outcomes that end up needing additional surgery due to bone alignment, etc. that you don't know about until after rehab starts. Waiting may not have helped

God and Jesus and miracles and bob loblaw

Your grandma didn't make it to 30 and was killed by the covid vaccine?

You're going to have to run that one by me again.

RIP though.

Just because a Doctor practices Eastern Philosophy of Medicine. Does not mean the advice they give is wrong. Chris has his beliefs in how he wants to treat his body and do his recovery. He may take a longer road this way but ultimately I believe he will heal. I think people are to quick these days to take pills or treatment from a lot of these western doctors. Look at the opioid epidemic. It didnt begin with drug addicts seeking out pills. It was the Dr's and pharma that created the addicts.

Well at least now he has another chance to take it slower. Way too overzealous on his recovery

This is not good at all. "not healing properly" "another surgery"

Almost sounds like an amputation. Fuck...

Yep, not sure what he would expect walking on it two weeks later. Oh well, there's no way the doctors didn't explain the risks of pushing himself like that less then two weeks after snapping his god damn leg in half

This, I think its his fault tbh. If you watch the Silva interview he did with The Chris. Silva warns him about coming back to soon.

If I was him I would have been sitting on my ass for half a year. The guy snapped his shin in half and was putting weight on it in a couple of weeks. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

No doctor would advise you to sit on your ass for six months, but Chris indeed seemed to be pushing a speed of rehab that wasn't the wisest, especially given his age. Bones don't heal as quickly at age 30 or 40 as they do when you're 20.

Broke my hand at age 19 and then at age 40 and the second one was an eye opener for me. Still mild pains on occasion. The first one, I was doing push-ups the day the brace was removed.

He probably should call it a career, he definitely left his mark in MMA. I hope he recovers well.

When I was 21 I slipped on a patch of black ice and it blew up with so much fluid it felt like fire to breathe on it, to say nothing of touching it. But in like a week I was running around like an idiot.

Six months ago I pulled some fascia around my bicep and it's only now healed. Ugh I hate being old
