Chandler vs Pimblett is a mismatch

My gut feeling is that Pimblett is underrrated.

I won't be surprised if he beats Chandler.
Also, I won't be surprised if Chandler explodes and knocks him out.

Pretry much. Chandler has been declining and as much as he does within fights to make it exciting , he loses more often than not

Facing a fighter who is adapting and improving with every fight is not good for Chandler.

Look, it doesn’t matter. Pimblett needs to fight a legit opponent—the dude’s not getting any younger. If he really thinks he can be champ, he’s gotta take this step. That being said, I think Mikey’s gonna beat him into a living death.

I dont think yall don't like Patty for Patty. You don't like the marketing narrative and media blitz UFC created for him in an attempt to get their next great white British hope.

This is a great matchup because there's something to gain for both.

Paddy has been doubted since god knows when, so he needs challenges. Tony was supposed to be a good one but its confirmed tony is now retarded from age and wars. So....let's try someone harder.

Chandler needs a win and paddy should be an easy one, but chandler loves shitting his own bed. Paddy hasnt had a lil gorilla like Chandler that doesnt get tired.
I never thought Tony would beat Paddy, but some here did. Not only is Tony older and more shot than Chandler, but he lacks 1-punch KO power, one of the only weapons older fighters have. In his prime, Tony wore down opponents with cardio, pressure and zombie ability to get stronger as the fight went on. He almost never finished anyone early, but had quite a few later finishes by TKO or submission.

That style doesn't age well. The Diaz bros ran into the same issue as they aged. Wrestle-boxers are the style that's aged best if they don't get plagued with injuries. Either fighters with KO power who try to keep the fight standing (Chandler, Hendo, Yoel) or who actually wrestle (Couture, late-stage Glover). Cormier was able to do both, depending on the opponent.

They're both bad and being propped up by the UFC for marketing purposes. This fight is meaningless and will tells us nothing other than what the UFCs next move for the LW clownshow is as Dana continues to desperately install a champion he likes.
Why do you think Dana doesn’t like Islam? He shows up to fight and has a ton of finishes.

Paddy has terrible striking defense and was getting tagged by Jared Gordon, he’s also a brawler and brawling with Iron Mike is a recipe for disaster, unless you’re an elite striker like Poirier or Gaethje.

Chandler is a tough night out for every lightweight there has ever been. He finds a degree of success in every fight, I just don’t see Paddy taking those bombs (which he will)

Gives me Diamond vs BSD vibes.
He’s a scoucer lad, he can’t be knocked out - Mike has terrible TD defense
All he has to do is what he did to King Green
He not dumb enough to stand and wang with a man who has nothing to lose- Mike had nothing for Paddy besides and easy win and a true ranking
Paddy is going to the top laddy, I’ll see you there

Pimblett by KO Round 1
Or a quick sub- it’s going to be over quick- Mike has nothing for him and when Paddy takes him down… and he will, it should be a first round win by sub
I’m calling for an arm triangle from half guard

Paddy is for real- if he wasn’t, he wouldn’t have his own brand of pre workout , right?

I don't think he minds him at all, perfect placeholder before he can get some tattoo'd just bleed type that will get on the mic and slobber on Trumps dick to appeal to the shithole states.

Where I do favor Chandler (I feel his striking is superior and that he can keep the fight vertical), there's no denying that Paddy is really good at capitalizing on mistakes, and Chandler has slipped on his fair share of banana peels.

lol sorry to break it to you that Paddy will actually beat Chandler. If Chandler employed a better game plan he would win a few more fights. Bobby Green is a better striker than Chandler by the way.

I agree but the fight still makes sense from a booking standpoint. Chandler is on a skid, he’s exciting but he’s lost to the elite guys he’s faced. This gives him a chance to get back in the win column to keep his stock up so if he does win they can either advance him through the division if he keeps winning or makes it so that a win over him will be more meaningful. Paddy gets a chance to prove himself with a big step up in competition. A win here would do a lot for his stock and a loss doesn’t hurt him much.

Overall it’s probably a mismatch but it’s a fight that makes sense.

Yer agree with TS, I have Chandler bricking Paddy

Paddy's proved me wrong before and has some decent size now days so maybe not a big bet

It's crazy how no matter how many times Chandler loses and is beaten to a pulp how overrated he remains here lol

2-4 in the UFC (with those 2 wins being over 0-8 Tony and a lucky flash KO vs journeyman Dan Hooker LOL), almost 40, has to cheat in every fight to find any sort of success, yet people still speak of him as if he could be champ, it's so bizarre to me

He'll lose his next 5 fights and there will still be saying he could beat Islam lol

He joined the UFC late, you could argue over the hill.
Everything in the UFC is a bonus.
Pimblett is ok but Chandler has every chance to beat him.
