Chandler vs Pimblett is a mismatch

They will continue to give this Liverpudlian fool every fighter on their way out until he gets a title shot.

One thing that’ll make me dislike Cheating Chandler even further is if he doesn’t dispose of this guy.

Paddy has improved everywhere

His hands still suck though, but his defense is better and seems to fight smarter.

Needs to get with a good boxing coach
Do you really think so? Too me he seems like he has not, I really had hopes for him and that he would improve but he just seems to be stale in his growth. He has ok, skills on the ground and I think he only does ok for striking due to his size in the division. He definitely needs a good boxing coach.

Doesn't help that he's a white belt on the ground and Paddy is a bjj wizard as well

If it somehow ends up there, Paddy most likely chokes him.
Yeah, the only impressive thing Chandler did vs. Oliveira was surviving 5 rounds, including quite a bit of time on the ground. But he knew how big of a submission threat there was against Charles. He definitely could get caught against Paddy just like he did against Poirier.

It's a fine match up. A perfect hard test for Pimblett to prove his worth. He's young, and on a streak. This is a good veteran test, and definitely risky if Chandler comes in injury free and fit

Paddy is much younger. You can't give him a better fight to create contendership. The timing is good

Chandler looked great in every fight he had in the ufc, other than that one.

He seemed very lost, technique was sloppy, fight iq was nonexistent, just winging hay makers and looking for the knockout.

I think if you're just on the cusp of being a contender, you push for that fight. Chandler still has the big name, but this seems like the beginning of the end of his career at the top.

Him and his team saw the fight and were confident to push for it, which speaks volumes.

Would be worth throwing a few coins on for an underdog bet.

He seems smarter. Moves a bit better and more tactically, defends better and doesn't allow stupid punches to land because of carelessness.

Also went back to his bread and butter, his grappling.

That's probably the biggest change, his fight iq is improving.

Bad hands is a problem tho, but if you can defend punches well, you can kind of get away with it.

I think that is a great way look at it. His fight IQ is improving and he is not being as reckless. Now he just needs to work on his standup.

I agree Chandler looked good in his other fights, but did show signs of decline. He's shown poor Fight IQ at some point in all of his losses, and didn't look good in R1 vs. Ferguson. In fact, that may be the only round Ferguson has won since Gaethje took his soul, unless Tony won a round against Nate Diaz (can't remember).

If Paddy at age 30 with 25 fights under his belt can't beat a 38-year old, declining Chandler, we've probably seen his ceiling already.

This is a great matchup because there's something to gain for both.

Paddy has been doubted since god knows when, so he needs challenges. Tony was supposed to be a good one but its confirmed tony is now retarded from age and wars. So....let's try someone harder.

Chandler needs a win and paddy should be an easy one, but chandler loves shitting his own bed. Paddy hasnt had a lil gorilla like Chandler that doesnt get tired.

I'd love to watch paddy get chinned. But Chandler is getting old.

Pimblett by sub

Paddy has youth and probably size on his side.

Chandler is old, shopworn and looked like complete shit vs Charles.

I don't see it, I'm sorry man..I love me some chandler just like everyone else

But at this point in his career it's impossible to call him a massive favorite against anyone in the to 10...

He could prove me wrong and I hope he does, but I can only go by his ufc run thus far

People keep trying to hate on this fight but it's good match-making. I think it's a 50/50 fight, can see Chandler getting choked out and can see Paddy getting KOd. Either result would make many people happy to see.
It's a classic "old but still dangerous" guy who would've won in his prime vs. a younger, not fully proven fighter who most likely wins if it goes the distance.

Chandler's good, but old. Paddy is a big dude, young, good ground game.
Never liked Mike as a person, seems like a douche ( not that I've ever met him). Great fighter tho
Round 2 sub, by Paddy the Baddy
Then I'm gonna smoke a fattie

I don't think so

Chandler is a little overrated right now

Paddy is VERY underrated

Still a dangerous fight but there's a high probability of an upset here.

Chandler isn't as good as he once was. His fights are just him winging haymakers.

That last fight had Paddy confident enough to take it and there's a reason for that.

His skillset is fairly accurately rated but he can get away with having holes because he’s so big and fast for the division.

He’s also not 35+ yo like the rest of the division.

I think Pimpley will weather the early storm and win by KO or sub
