Law CBS pays out (settles) for election interference

Then why change it come air time?
To edit the interview for brevity so that it fits the time slot, a much more likely explanation than the conspiracy you guys are weaving that CBS was trying to make Kamala look good by airing her most rambling answer in the ad.
Trump has no obligation to approve the merger after CBS pays out for their misconduct. These are two separate things.
That's how presidents should think and act but that's not how Trump is, he will use any bit of leverage he has to shake down his perceived enemies. That's why you guys like him.
I could show the same level of denial as you are here as well. If you want to cling to a conspiracy theory, maybe I can too then. How about CBS only settled because they didn't want it to go to trial, as there would be much more damaging info found during discovery. You should show more consistency in your views against biased media instead of treating CBS' loss as a personal defeat.
Yeah I'm the one engaging in conspiracy thinking by pointing out the obvious relevance of the merger, not the people claiming CBS was trying to protect Kamala by airing the exact clip they're supposed to have tried to bury.

Do you guys really not think these conspiracies through?

Some of the lib cope here is hilarious. They like to talk about "freedom of the press". If your network is clearly being manipulated and forced to push a leftist agenda, to the point you have to manipulate footage (with proof now) is it really a free press?

There will be books written about how corrupt and fucked up the whole left wing media/political spectrum was during this time and all of their lies.

Oh wait there already is LOL.
The cope is off the charts.

There's no middle ground when it comes to Trump, meanwhile independents and undecideds who are looking for an alternative to Trump are beholden to the lowly moronic Democrats who fight when they know they are gonna lose to him and when they all agree they have an open and shut case against him, they roll over and settle.

You know CBS News is not the Democrats, right? They’re a news outlet that Trump was frivolously suing. I think this case probably would’ve been tossed out in most courtrooms in this country.
Matthew Kacsmaryk’s courtroom is not most courtrooms. They’d probably even have better luck with Aileen Cannon.

Sure, sure. In fact, no media outlet is a mouthpiece for a political party. They're all objective news outlets filled with objective journalists. CBS didn't edit that clip to make Kamala look somewhat coherent, because her actual answer made her look like mumbling idiot she is, and CBS wanted her to win because they're an arm of the Democrat party. No Sir! It was all about time constraints...

You guys are so ridiculous.

That would be easily provable, if true. They wouldn't be paying out 8 figures. You guys are really reaching here.

Your disdain for Trump isn't relevant here.

Yet, that's exactly what CBS did and how we got here in the first place.

Do you guys really not think these conspiracies through?
You guys seem to be the only ones ascribing conspiracy theories to this case and this seems to be a pattern where none of you can separate your personal feelings about Trump when looking at cases he's involved in or actions he takes as President. Everyone saw the concerted effort to minimize exposure to Kamala's incompetence during an election cycle where she already had very limited time to sell herself to voters. That's why she lost so handily and CBS is now paying out the ass. There's plenty of resources you can look up to educate yourself on the 2024 election cycle and everything that happened. You don't have to take my word for it.

Oh I'm well aware of the biases all media outlets have, including Faux News. They all want to claim they are fair and balanced just like Faux.

Trump's win here is directly a result of the union between CBS and the DNC for that interview

All this scrambling to explain away CBS' dishonesty and bias is really juvenile. It says a lot when people who claim they are against election interference turn out to be very selective about when they are against it.

Because there's an $8 billion dollar merger on the line, $16 million is chump change for them in light of the stakes.
16 million is a costly L for any corporation.

Do you think handing dubs over to someone you claim is a criminal that is corrupting our political systems and is dividing and degrading our nation is a good idea?

I'm starting to think the key to Trumps limited but apparent success in politics has little to do with his support and a lot to do with how weak his political rivals are in Washington.

Not that costly when you look at the $8 billion stakes though of course I'm sure they don't appreciate being extorted by the president.

No I don't think it's a good idea, hence people working at CBS and 60 Minutes resigned when they saw the writing on the wall.

Paramount Pictures' HQ is in Hollywood, not DC.

How would that be proven to you? What evidence would you accept?

Trump's pattern of behavior is though. This is how he operates, he likes to use leverage in unrelated issues to achieve ends elsewhere.

They didn't though, that's just a conspiracy Trump made up and once you guys get your marching orders from the top you follow them faithfully.

The conspiracy here is Trump's cockamamie claim that CBS edited the interview to make her look good when in fact they aired the supposedly unflattering answer as the ad for the program.

If they wanted to make her look good why would they do that? The conspiracy isn't even internally consistent.

Only conspiracy here is you thinking they edited that portion of the interview due to time constraints LOL

Who is confused here?
I never disputed this is a payoff lol.

As to Trump winning, it's pretty fair to say the lot of you bums are in total denial as to why this keeps happening.

This is a win for Trump and it is directly the result of the ineptitude and incompetence of his opposition.

My post highlighted what a bunch of losers the Democrats are and your reply is a testament to how utterly stupid the Democrats are

No doubt it's a win for Trump...you low IQ clapping seals somehow think it's a good thing for the sitting POTUS to extort us companies and citizens....

Why did they release the word salad answer in the ad if they were trying to make Kamala look good?

No doubt it's a win for Trump...
Thanks to all the knuckleheads in the DNC and their political donors at Paramount/Viacom/CBS

LOL VP of the country that is running for the most important leadership position arguably throughout the entire world, who just so happens to be the direct opposition to a criminal with aspirations towards becoming the greatest threat to democracy in our lifetime, and was facing harsh criticism from all sides in regards to her lack of availablity for interviews and questioning by the press, is only allowed a 20 minute segment of their signature prime time news show.

The level of incompetence is astounding.

You guys and your CT’s Bro

If it's standard procedure, they should have plenty of examples to provide of them editing Presidential candidates' answers for "brevity." They didn't, because they knew what they did. They just didn't expect Trump to win.

Trump's pattern of behavior is though. This is how he operates, he likes to use leverage in unrelated issues to achieve ends elsewhere.
Again, it's your opinion that's what's happening here. You're free to have it, however uninformed it may be.

They didn't though, that's just a conspiracy Trump made up and once you guys get your marching orders from the top you follow them faithfully.
You're falling apart here. If it was an unfounded conspiracy, they woldn't be shelling out $16 million dollars. It doesn't require a lot of critical thinking. Stop getting your talking points from Reddit.

Yet you can't explain why they edited the actual aired interview to make Kamala appear as a more coherent speaker. That is how we got here and that is what CBS is facing consequences. They've done more than pay out for their deception. They've since changed their entire editorial policy to make full uncut interviews with Presidential candidates available for anyone to watch. If it was just about protecting a merger, as you have been instructed to claim, then this wouldn't happen. It's really weird how you guys can't just take an L like a man and move on. If you think election interference is bad, you need to be consistent with it and not allow your personal feelings to override that.
