Catfish the TV show

Oh good lord I just saw a preview for the new episodes and there's a real shut-in looking type guy who thinks that a Miss America contestant is dating him. It mentioned how she randomly messaged him and now they're in love.

Poor guy doesn't realize the world just doesn't work that way

How can the host of the show even possibly try to get his hope up?

That's the one on the where Nev says, "Everything checks out" like it may end up being legit. It still likely won't, though.

Yeah - I saw that one also - The average Joe has no chance with a beauty queen and the internet does not change that.
Physical attraction is the difference between romantic love and friendship. Not the only difference but it has to be there.

I've noticed his buddy (Max I think) is always the realistic one who's like "dude you know this is definitely fake" and Nev is always the hopeful one. Max is always right


I just watched the one where that blonde from down south who was actually good looking thought she was dating a male model she never met. Not an ounce of me felt bad for her when it turned out to be a fat girl trolling her. Especially after she was trying on dresses to wear and says "im just picturing him ripping it off me".

Yeah she had a pretty intricate lie going. Even lying about having cancer when nev showed up at her house.
Lol if I remember correctly Nev asked her about the hardships of caring for the disabled kids and she was like "yeah their really really retarded"
 
It's a really interesting show. I think it's real, but they use a lot of scripted dialogue. The show would be a mess if they did it 100% legitimate. You know even if it was fake, this does happen to people. They just don't want their fantasy to end. Anyone have pics of the barn chick? I really wanted to see that one and I missed it.

I cant sit through an entire episode but ive seen most of the people they meet. It really makes me think people who meet online are total losers. I dont like the host. He seems like a fake nice guy. What really annoys me is how they show the hosts flamboyant partner filming him. I thought sunny was showing pics of her where she was at least 15 pounds lighter. I would have been so disapointed to see a hot chic on facebook and a flabby has been hottie at my front door.

lol Sunny. She was an idiot. I liked the episode with the guy who was overweight and afraid to meet the girl he'd been talking to for ten years. He was a cool dude.

It was really sad, though. Especially when one of them died. Her husband looked a little off, but he was actually pretty well spoken.
 
The show is seems pretty legit. The end, when they confront the person, is the only part of the show worth watching.

The blonde girl from the first episode was cute IMO.
 
I didn't know the bird from the film was married, is she still married I wonder?
