Carnal's treatise on heavy Iron

how come every time i read this i pick up something new and get even more motivated

I like this a lot. most people post pussyfied guides as to not cause political strife. This guy just said fuck everyone this how it is..... Bitch. I'll definitely take the R&R advice but I'll leave the diet advice. Lifting heavy is a given.

i remember reading this as a high school freshmen 4 years ago, came back on here and found it again... crazy shit. He shoulda been paid heftily for writing this.

Somebody recently brought this threads continued existence to my attention. I was so moved by the fact that something I wrote 9 years ago now is still kicking, I registered an account to comment.

Thank you all for reading my ramblings, you honor me greatly and I appreciate it very much.

The details have changed somewhat, but I still stand by the vast majority of this almost a decade later.

Do you intend to continue posting here or did you just want to get this message across?

Ya know, I'm not sure. Plus, as I've not made my identity a secret, they may see fit to ban this account as well, so it might not be my choice to make.

I've got a bit more free time than I'd like at the moment, but I also don't know how much I'd really be able to contribute. My ideas are still very simple, I don't like tendo units or force plates, I think using the word "programming" to describe periodization is pretentious, I still don't quite know what "Starting Strength" is and all of that invalidates everything I have to say, of course.

Even if you just post occasionally a lot of people will certainly appreciate the input of a veteran lifter such as yourself, and surely there is some statute of limitations on a forum ban.

Nah. Tasty coma wife is doomed. They won't ban him, they'll hunt him down, cut off his balls, and send him to Australia. Or something like that.

Wonder how much it would take for Jester to hide this information from the others...

Not everyone believes SS is the be all and end of of getting stronger. Its definitely a good place to start if you know nothing else. I used it very briefly. I have seen a lot of people here start that way and get stronger. I think people are open enough for other ideas. Especially new lifters...
