Law Capitol Rioter Megathread

Then justice will be done. Law & Order.

You won't say that when no charges are brought

If you say so

What an absolute bombshell! To think, a note written and given to Trump asking him to condemn the rioters (and he didn't) might have been written by someone else. Well this changes.............I don't know what it changes.

I'm guessing you're hoping that this would result in everyone just putting the blinders on about the entirety of her testimony. I don't think that's gonna be successful with anyone except the purest of the MAGA lovers.

In the future, could you at least give your own description of the source you post, plus what you think it means? It would prevent us from wasting our time clicking on really shitty sources that have next to no relevance. Because you see, the take away, was that Trump was asked by just about everyone to make some statement about the capital being breached and call his retards off. But he wouldn't. That doesn't change if one of those messages was, arguably, written by a different person.

Small price to pay as long as he never sits behind the Resolute desk again.

th

you're image didn't show. but do you even understand the reason behind the showmanship of this jan 6 "hearing" circus? The price paid has not delivered results. They've not come up with a case to charge Trump. No charges, no stopping Trump from running again.

there's no cross examination, there's no defense to present their side, there's no jury, there can be no verdict. this "hearing" that you've been salivating over is about as authentic as your favorite TV show...

You don't have to believe any of this testimony but we can all make up our minds on that. It's good to get this out to the public and it's a shame so many of them pleaded the 5th and even failed to show up. They say it's impossible to pull off the perfect crime so if there's evidence out there we'll see if these investigations uncover it.

This committee has come across a lot of obstruction. Let's see if the DoJ's is able to be stymied the same way.

Lol, they don't say shit. That's not a court of law. No due process. You know, like the judge ruling you just referenced.

perhaps they should have settled their legal affairs in the parking lot of a landscaping shop across the street from the dildo store while their lead attorney is covered in snot and sweating out shoe polish.

I'm willing to wait and see what the DOJ does. An investigation of this magnitude has to be thorough. Patience is the key.

A ex-cop found guilty of multiple counts related to the Capitol riot said he was 'drinking too much' and reading articles fed to him by the Facebook algorithm

"A former police officer who was convicted on multiple counts related to participating in the Capitol riot said he was under stress, drinking too much, and in a "rabbit hole" of conspiracy theories leading up to the insurrection.

Thomas Robertson, 49, was a police officer in Rocky Mount, Virginia, but was fired shortly after his arrest in January 2021. In April, he was found guilty by a jury on six counts, including obstructing an official proceeding and entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds while carrying a dangerous weapon.

Robertson said the stress he was experiencing caused him to drink more than he ever had before, adding that "shameful" social media posts he made leading up to January 6 were "a product of stress, alcohol abuse, and submersion in deep 'rabbit holes' of election conspiracy theory."
