Elections Canadian Federal Election 2019 Thread

So, this is it?

Interesting how this circle jerk makes no mention of Sheer's lies and fake credentials. It's ok, though, Other people are noticing. It's going to be fun watching the results come election day.

Oh, and still not a peep from the right wing rag, but feel free to tag me when it comes out.

Not a word about his mistakes, eh? Just default to "circle-jerk" to absolve his idiocy.

How does Scheer even compare to Poodeau's incompetence? I DARE you to give me a straight answer.

Typical victim mentality. You're in the thread. Post something if you want to discuss it.

Sure. It's not much of a dare when it's this easy. He wants to curtail immigration and that's the only thing keeping PEI going at he moment so no thanks. He used misleading language when announcing he planned to cut aid money and it would affect a lot of countries that people most likely wouldn't expect. There are signs he's just as much of a hypocrite as Trudeau; in addition there are other platform planks and reasons of subjective value. Again, no matter what I personally think of Trudeau, my opinion is that he would do a better job for the country as a whole than Sheer would. You don't need my help pointing out Trudeau's mistakes. They are what they are. Few of them have had significant long term impact on the country, his personal character notwithstanding.

Sheer, on the other hand, materially misrepresents himself with an industry certification he never attained, and uses the misleadingly named program he took in college to double down on his lie, and it somehow didn't get mentioned here (that I saw upon quick inspection). I think we should beware of politicians following in Trump's footsteps by denying lies even when the proof is right in front of them. Just saying, this started as an election discussion thread, not a why we hate Trudeau theme party, so I threw in my 2 cents.

Now, please, by all means go back to your circle jerk election discussion thread and revel in your outrage porn, and I'll go back to not really being too worried about the whole situation until we see what happens on the day of reckoning, still preferring to put the best interests of the country ahead of my personal dislikes of people when deciding for whom to vote.

The bold text paints you as unlikely to be able to accept anything I have to say at face value, precisely what I was referring to in that post, but you can take a look at my reply to Salamander if you want a shot at not being ignored.

Yeah, pretty much agree with everything here.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but it's the sort of thing I'd prefer to be discussing when it comes to this election.

How do the main parties compare on these issues?
"Read the policies and promises of the six main parties on this election's pressing issues. These will be updated as parties add to their platforms ahead of the Oct. 21 election."

Ah it was only a lil racism. A lil' molestation. But to point that out is a circlejerk. Poodeau is objectively more dishonest than Scheer ever was, and his incompetnent leadership has divided theis country in ways that it has never been before.

Of course who am I to complain? I'm just part of the ETHNIC VOTE BANK that he spoofs on in polite company. foh

If the Trudeau government is capable of forcing the telecom companies to lower our phone bills by 25%, why the fuck didn't they do it in the last 4 years when they had a majority? This is such an insult to our intelligence.

You asked for a “straight” answer, that’s hate speech .......

So don't vote for him. I didn't say you had no basis for complaint. But mere discussion of the issues is not what this thread has become. For my part, his apology seemed sincere to me but I'm not in a position to evaluate whether that's acceptable among the people most affected by his actions. I have heard arguments for and against that acceptance.

I also think that if the Conservatives had come forward with this when they had it instead of waiting until now, it's conceivable he would have stepped down and been replaced by someone a little less scandal-ridden. Instead, there's nothing for the Liberals to do at this late stage but try to tough it out. This tactic makes me disinclined to support the Conservatives because they put partisan gain ahead of the national interest and appear likely to keep it up once they get into office.

Does this guy not realize Jagmeet is Sikh? Sikhs aren't even the bomb-y ones. If you're gonna be racist at least be informed, dammit.
Flight 182 disagrees.

Holy shit that is some next level spin there. I'll give you credit, you tow the party line. The perfect liberal voter.

Singh just really impressed me here.

This is stuff people need to hear.

Liberals control the media and was constantly attacking Scheer before blackface and even brought up the old gay marriage video.

As soon as the Conservatives throw the Liberal shit back at them, Liberal voters say this is the reason why they can't vote for the Conservatives. The Liberals have been using the most dirty and vile tactics.
That's what Liberals/leftists do. The most hypocritical group of people on the planet.

A great quote yesterday.

Based on fulfilling 92% of campaign promises,
“is measurably, demonstrably the most sincere and effective prime minister in living memory.”

I have to agree.

Dude, just vote Conservative and do the right thing. You had your Justin fix, we all did, let's move on.

You realize this is political suicide right? Of all the issues out there, this is his big selling point?

News flash: Nobody cares

I know, I know, that's mean and insensitive. I don't shape society or how it thinks. It's just the truth. Singh needs to learn, along with all the NDP to just keep quiet. Play the liberal route of 'balance the budget' 'lower some tax dudes' and then swing in the social justice for all stuff once they gain more seats.

lol that's nonsense and you know it.

Is it? This information was available to them months ago. They held on to it until now for partisan gain, not because it was in the best interests of Canadians. I think that's wrong. But yes, I guess caring about right and wrong seems to be nonsense to some people these days.
