Elections Canada Federal Election - Apr 2025

Everyone is out to get them, perpetually offended and cheated. It’s everyone else’s fault. Many Canadians see if and don’t want a thing to do with it. The comservative politicians are trying to capitilize on it.

Seriously. It’s time for conservatives to grow up and stop the divisiveness.
I can say the exact same thing about Liberals. You guys are the identity group that values people differently. You blame others for what you have inflicted on them over the past 11 years. Your take is comically ironic.

You are a kidless Torontonian. You do not represent Canada or Canadians, but you control the government.

Poilievre is revolting, alright.

This aged well lol

Unemployment is down, inflation is down, productivity is up. How horrible.
You live in PEI lol. There is no productivity.

The mill in the town I lived in closed. All of the other pulp and paper mills but 1 in Ontario has since closed. The sawmill making lumber for all the homes we’re gonna build baby build is closed for curtailment, Gogama sawmilll is closed, numerous manufacturing companies are moving to the states. But our productivity is up…… Ok Andy

I’m a kid less torontonian?

I am connected to several high level lobbyists/government relations specialists, and the prevailing opinion was that if the Liberals could not pass the budget, they would call an election in an attempt to get a majority. The conservatives are reeling right now and Poilievre has lost support of the party. If there was ever a time to attack a wounded opposition, it would be now.

Luckily (depending on who you ask), the budget passed, so it is a bit of a non issue.

Just my assumption as you don’t seem to care about spending and long term debt that would fuck over all of our kids. How far off am I?
Nah. Care plenty about kids. Kids are adults, but I’m very much invested in their and Canadas future.

He likely wouldn't have had to call an election if the budget didn't pass. From the looks of things, the Conservatives would have forced one for him. Then they'd have been on the hook for an election people in general don't want. A savvy strategem, innit.

LOL I was referring to the entire country's growth, obviously. It's still lower than anyone would want but it's steadily moving in the right direction. Whether or not Carney has anything to do with it is debateable mind you, but irrelevant to my comment. And in fact, PEI is doing rather well in that regard. Cope harder.

PEI continued to lead Canada in economic growth in 2024

Edit: 2024 GDP increased by 3.6 per cent (real GDP by industry), the fastest growing provincial economy in Canada in 2024. PEI’s GDP growth has exceeded national growth in nine of the last 10 years.

How do you feel about the feds spending more on debt interest annually than they transfer to provinces for health care? $57 billion per year in interest.

I am a fiscal conservative. You can’t spend like liberals spend without creating the wealth first. Need to live within your means.
