It's a problem in many countries. But not the poor ones. They still fuck like rabbits and reproduce like them as well. A few factors why.
1. Financially they don't care. They have nothing to lose, and already live poor, so they are not financially responsible.
2. There is nothing else that is fun to do besides banging. The rest of the modern world with all it's distractions has lowered sex drive. When we have disasters and lose power, have a quarantine etc there is always a boom in births 9 months later.
3. Sexual assaults. When men don't get consent and leave a gift behind.

In conclusion, to fix Canada's issue: Immigration from poor countries. They will have less financial guilt, less distractions, and we know based on stats from poor countries, SA's are not a problem. Sound absurd? I would say yes, but for some reason the Governments like the idea.

That's pretty much it. Poor people in Canada still have lots of kids too.

Once you get to a certain level of financial ruin, the government assistance you get for having kids in Canada is actually a decent financial incentive.

my neighbour is a new Canadian with 8 kids no husband, new house new car. Doesn't work the government pays for it all.

Yup.

It takes a special level of dense person to not realize that.

In poor societies often with generational homes with people living on top of each other, often the only way to any independence if for your adults to marry early, and then use that to get out and start their own lives.

In richer societies, where post high school options go from College to Uni, to traveling the world, to being able to take on all sorts of different jobs with the freedom to quit and try another, it should be no shock that increasingly younger people are not in a rush to lock in to any one mode of life (spouse/kids) that forecloses other options.
