Because super speed is a thing and when you marry super speed with super strength and flight it means supes can orbit all the fucking avengers before they would even know there was conflict.

Hulk can possibly live in space but he can't fly and would lack anything to change or gain momentum for another jump. He would have to jump all the way to the moon lol...change direction and then leap off again. Hardly a productive or effective mode of transport.

Supes would have his way with hulk in space, speed or no speed.

Dr Strange stands the most likely of heros that could tie up Supes for infinite.

ok so Superman throws Thor up into space. that only delays the fight, it doesnt kill Thor. if anything Superman would just be yellowcarded for refusing to engage actual fighting

Superman is a dumb concept and never portrayed consistently. Not in the movies and not in the comics. When you give a hero that kind of power it makes it insanely difficult to create obstacles for them. It's not remotely believable that his greatest enemy would be some bald dude with no powers at all. Lex should be a bug to Superman in any realistic story.

One example of how broken Superman is: super speed. Justice League showed Superman can move as fast as the Flash, which begs the question, why wasn't he using this power in any of the previous movies? Why didn't he easily save his father with this power? How are they going to show future villains having competitive fights with him if he has this ability? Logically no one should be able to touch him unless they also have super speed. It was a dumb power to give him and now it creates all kind of plot holes in the ongoing story.

Yes the avengers could best Superman easily for one simple reason:

Superman is dumb.

The guy had so many powers that he literally forgets to use them all when he fights.

The one he neglects the most is his super speed. Time after Time, he faces enemies that ate just as strong as he is, but they don't have super speed, and yet he chooses to go toe to toe with them and just match muscles rather than use his super speed.

Super speed combined with super strength should enable him to defeat 90% of the people he fights in 2 seconds.

Yet his fights are always longer than that.

People forget that Thor is waaaayyyyyyy more powerful in the comic books and has waaaaaayyyy more powers than the MCU.





The messed up part is at the end of the day superman really does beat everyone. I mean pre crisis superman was basically unstoppable
