Can Strickland cause Izzy problems with his aggression+volume?

Izzy embraces the rustled jimmies though and always comes in focused. So far, pissing him off hasn't been an effective tactic.
 
Watching Strickland in any of his fights you see him kind of trick his opponents into boxing with him and just forgetting they can kick him, if he can somehow get adesanya to go full retard, maybe by trash talking him in the cage or something, he might pull him into a hard sparring session
 
I see no way that Strickland is even slightly competitive in this fight.

I might be wrong, but watching his style is his most recent fights, he's not going to win unless he makes it a messy fight. Izzy is much faster, hits harder, and is more precise with his shots.

Sean has a chance if he can string together combos and make it an ugly fight where Izzy abandons his technique.
 
Izzy will land a couple of leg kicks early and Sean will piss his pants like Costa did.
 
Adesanya has a lot of weapons to take away his jab.
Side to side footwork, check hook, punches over the jab...

Kicking from the different angles they will help him to make a damage on his lead leg. The rear overhand ideally pass through the guard and will set it up nicely with feints.
 
Strickland is a good grappler but seems to have lazy wrestling.

Izzy will and rightly so, be a massive favourite and for a reason.

You act like Yoel is some volume guy that lands hundreds of strikes per fight he’s a fighter who is low activity every time Yoel hit him he reacted badly same with Izzy same with till same with dricus. Rob has good foot work and he’s elusive. But he does not take damage well

also fight could have very easily been stopped twice in the rematch I believe he got knocked down 3+ times

Maybe DDP can get Izzy to fight emotionally and make a mistake but Sean is so far below Izzy in skill that Izzy will just use this as a showcase. Izzy only fights "Safe" vs guys like Romero and Cannonier with one shot explosion.
 
Probably not but pressuring Izzy can work. Anderson Silva randomly had success doing it. Or relative success compared to the rest of the fight.

He needs to go for a wrestling/clinch heavy strategy in order to have any chance of making it interesting.

If Adesanya expects a takedown, Strickland might land something on the feet. Otherwise, he'll get picked apart. Pumping out a jab isn't going to get the job done. You have to take away some of Adesanya's tools by making him wary of the takedown.
 
To answer your question TS...NO. As much as I want to roll with Strickland's redneck fantasy, he has nothing for Izzy. Izzy by KO/TKO whenever he wants. Levels. Rooting for Sean believe it or not, but he has very little chance in this one IMHO.
 
His striking is nothing to Israel but if he would have high impact with the grappling that could make it better
 
Strickland may have never been academically inclined, regardless, Israel is going to mercilessly school his ass - I don't see this fight being competitive.
Of course Matt Serra did beat GSP once.

Maybe Sean could trigger him and make him emotional to such a high degree? Can Sean make Izzy explode?
