Can Strickland cause Izzy problems with his aggression+volume?

Look at what happened when he tried that with Alex. There's levels to striking ability and the more aggressive and volume you throw. The more openings you're going to leave for Izzy to catch you. Izzy from a technical stand point is a better kickboxer than Alex. I think most of what people think is Sean's strength will actually be his undoing in this fight. Styles make fights, and basic forward boxing against high level strikers usually ends poorly.

Did Strickland cause Pereira problems with his aggression + volume?

It's hard to imagine that agression wont get him countered all night. Izzy does fine fighting off the backfoot, but it's still probably Strickland's best bet to move forward and be aggressive. Izzy is probably most vulnerable with his back to the cage although he's proven he's really dangerous in that position as well.

Strickland is not the biggest takedown threat in the division, but I think he has to at least threaten with takedowns just to keep Izzy from getting too comfortable.

Strickland is the perfect fighter to go on Izzy’s highlight reel.

No. Look at what happened to Whittaker fighting aggressive with izzy in the first fight. Sean has no path to victory.

I'm going to paraphrase (because I'm too lazy to find the quote) Izzy about when he fought Costa or Cannonier or someone:

"I've seen his style before, many times, but he's never seen mine."

Izzy -500 indeed. I'd still take that over Strickland +350.

Of course it's not a lock, and of course I've been wrong many times before.

I'll be surprised if Strickland makes it beyond the second round.

strickland has pillow fists and he has a basic style. izzy will pick him apart, but at least strickland will have his retirement money.
He also admits to having a weak chin if you can catch him. I'm pretty sure he's going night night against izzy

Strickland is about the least aggressive striker in the UFC. Have any of you actually seen him fight or do you skip that and just assume he's aggressive because of the way he talks? <45>

Strickland is the best striker that Adesanya will have faced in the UFC. This isn't Whittaker. People forget that Strickland was outstriking Pereira before he got caught. Pereira also said that Strickland beat his ass when they trained together.
Hilarious. Strickland is good though.

I’m not sure you understand the fight game… like at all.

Are you mentally challenged? Pereira Outlanded strickland 25 to 15, that's almost 70% more strikes landed than strickland.

Thank you.

I keep hearing about this insane Strickland pressure, but I see is a guy who's pretty good at slowly and methodically cutting off the ring while tossing stiff jabs and focusing on defense.

I believe this is Sean's opportunity to prove to the world he has a 7" thick skull and if he doesn't he's fucked.
