All that is going to happen is everyone's power and water bills are going to go up.
My point with that post is there’s always more to the story than what you’re sharing with these tweets. If I do some digging I can probably find stuff being left out with this stuff too. But it’s frankly tedious.
We can also turn this game on its head since you think this is a democrat problem. You live in Galveston right? So you’re close to Houston. I’m sure you remember the 2017 flood. Al ms were being raised to prior to that flood, but the state and city did not update its aging infrastructure. Googling it now, it doesn’t look like any actual work has been done to update it unless I’m missing something. They’re still just talking about funding it.
But here’s the difference of why you hear about it more when democrat controlled areas suffer a disaster: republicans and right wingers in general can’t wait to turn it into a circus. When it happens to Republican areas like it just did in the woefully unprepared South just 4 months ago, Democrats don’t make it into a circus and get behind the relief efforts.
Unlike a lot of you, I’m not foolish enough to believe I fully understand flood mitigation, nor do I believe that the 2017 disaster could have been prevented. I’m also willing to bet even if LA did everything in its humanly power to prepare for this over the last decade, we still would have had a disaster in our hands.
You’re unqualified to be telling anyone how to prepare and it’s apparent when you say things like “the drought ended”. Two years of high snow pack melt did not wash away decades of dried up trees and undergrowth. What I said about the Colorado is 100% true, feel free to look it up. Our world is changing and the right has spent decades convincing you that is not the case. Now you’re faced with the reality of it and you’re choosing to believe that disasters are caused by corrupt democrats. Smh.
And yet, you still voted red I bet. Red no matter who amirite?Fuck off. I posted the link from the State of California page where Gavin Newsome stated drought conditions were ending in several counties, including LA County.
I also posted the interview where Gavin said all the reservoirs were full, not knowing that the one key one was empty.
And I heard the fucking peanut gallery when Texas was going through our fun time freeze, including Ted Cruz being out of pocket. And I was white hot red at Centerpoint and the power suppliers for not being properly winterized. My house being 30-40 degrees for a week and stressing about freeze damage the entire time sucked balls. Having a gas fireplace turned up on max was probably the only thing that saved me then.
If you're not a partisan fuck, then you if live in LA County, you should be feeling the same about Democrat officials in this situation.
This was multi-layered failure that literally everyone saw coming. In fact it was almost inevitable with the decades of Democrat mismanagement.
So save your hypocritical bullshit.
We tried twice with Newsome already, and it failed.I'm sensing that Cali is so pissed off, that we're gonna see simultaneous recalls for the governor and mayor. Won't be hard to get the signatures to get those balls rolling.
And yet, you still voted red I bet. Red no matter who amirite?
The irony is thick here
It’s been your postings. You were the one making a thing out of Californians still voting blue. Then without even being promoted wrote a whole story about how mad you were at Ted Cruz for failing you. Yet we both know you voted for him and not the democrat that he ran against when he was up for reelection, didn’t you? You have the gal yo accuse me of partisan hackery and write that shit?lol... that's your takeaway?
Don't the let door hit you on the way out
Damn, that's hardcore considering how small some of those fires were.
If we're falling mismanagement of funds enough to matter (ie tens of millions of dollars), it's possible that happened.
Ironically killed by smoke (allegedly).Greatest loss here is David Lynch.
Why are you defending the ineptness when Fire Fighters refute what you are saying? The budget cuts are public. They cut the budget and were warned of impending threat by the Chief of LAFD. All public. The hydrants weren't checked or serviced. Too many firefighting trucks and equipment were unusable due to no mechanics because of said budget cuts. All public. Areas with no firefighters at all due to the budget cuts. No pre prep in a known threat area....due to ineptness of leadership. Issues with reservoirs being repaired DURING the highest threat. Not to mention needing Canadian CL415's to pick up the seawater to help with the fires. Why doesn't LA have those? Because liberal leadership spent 2m on DEI and 30m towards migrant homeless. This is all public and can't be refuted. No evac plan, no coordination between first responders is on leadership as well. The Mayor and Chief need to be held accountable. But honestly it weighs very heavy on Asshole Newsome....He is such a fucktard. His interviews are strange, he lies about being on the phone with the President. He is the new face of failure. Here is more for you- I’ve also heard a lot about how they need to start bringing more water to California since it’s been in drought for so long now. That they should have been bringing more water to prepare for these fires. Where is that water going to come from?
As it is, a lot of water from the Colorado river is diverted to California for farming. So much of it is diverted that it’s a very real possibility that Phoenix, which relies on the Colorado, may become unlivable in the not to distant future.
I don’t think you guys have a realistic sense of what we are capable of and what is happening in our environment.
Nothing to see here ,, just more fails
