That 20 billion that went to fighting homelessness that seems to be unaccounted for with little next to zero improvement would have gone a long way in fixing some of these issues.

Real sad scenario.

I lived in Los Angeles for years. Last time I was back it was nearly unrecognizable.

Evacuating everyone north of Hollywood Blvd. If they can't get ahold of this one quick, it could take out some major old Hollywood landmarks like the Magic Castle and the Hollywood Bowl. Watching it spread in real time is nuts. Went from nothing to a massive 30+acre one in a REALLY dense residential area.

This lady said they have only three 1 million gallon tanks for the Palisades.

Dude, that's nothing. I'm in water treatment construction. We're building two pump stations that have 2 - 15 million gallon tanks each... for a total of 60 million gallons serving Katy, Tx. And these are just the pump stations and not including the several water plants that have their own ground storage tanks... usually 3 to 4 tanks each that are 2-3 million gallons each.

I know of another pump station that we didn't get that's building another 2 - 12 million gallon tanks.

What I'm saying is that it's a complete failure for a region with high fire danger to have only 3 - one million gallon tanks total.

So you like Trump's move here and the timing? Somehow he has already figured out the cause mid fire with some flawless logic.

Many people have talked about this very situation for years. Trump even brought it up on the Joe Rogan interview he did in October. Rogan has mentioned it before too and said it's one of the reasons he left CA for Texas after multiple forced evacuations from his home because of fires. Those in charge simply don't want to take any accountability.
You can't defeat mother nature but there is really no excuse for the utter lack of preparation. Cutting 18 million from the Fire Department budget for example and no way to handle the demand for water. Newsom claimed there was plenty of water but there was no water pressure when the demand ovewhelmed the reservoir system.

They were able to do drops last night and again today which has been huge. If it weren’t for the air support last night Hollywood would be in shambles right now. Winds are supposed to pick up again tonight I believe so we’ll see if they can make it.
