Dems back on the poor and black people can't get an ID bandwagon? Pathetic lol
mInOrItiEs aRe 2 dUmB To gEt aN iD
I’ve lived in California for 50 years and every single person I have ever met old young poor wealthy American or otherwise and even illegals have had ID of some kind.
One can get a California ID card for free.
Or “apply” for one as well, Timmy."Renew"
Let’s call this what it is. It’s not about voting or ID. It’s about Newsom trying to feather his nest with placating, gratuitous legislation to help fuel his 2028 run for POTUS.The ID's illegals get are like the ones here in Nevada. They say right on them "not a valid form of ID" or some other phrasing which restricts their use and makes it obvious the status of people who hold them. Requiring an entirely new ID to vote is silly when those distinctions already exist. Waste of resources that just adds more bureaucracy to the voting process.
It’s like the old schoolyard technique, loaf.Goodness gracious, your anger towards me recently has been off the charts. I've renewed in person and online. Not every state is the same, ffs. Calm your menstrual tits. Your lipstick's showing.

I was asking for me to be fact checked.Yeah but you’re not going to be allowed to constantly renew online and keep the same picture for 50 years. I apologize for calling you stupid but you’re asking people to fact check me on common sense.
if you cant manage to produce a valid id, then you simply shouldn't be allowed to vote.
1 valid id, marked against a role of valid voters, receives 1 valid paper vote
stop treating people like children. they are responsible to meet a minimum requirement in society. this is part of that. if they cant manage that, fuck em. they cant vote.
In my state you can get a renewal online and have your new ID or License mailed to you. Not sure if that's available in California. Though I will say I did this once and it never came in the mail. They got my $24, the bastards. And what about people who work longer hours than the DMV but can't get any time off work because of what ever fucked up reason their boss has?
I’m no gynecologist, but I’ll take a look.I was asking for me to be fact checked.
Maybe they're just poor and don't have an easy way to get to the DMV. It's not only minorities either - it's elderly people too.
The only reason Republicans are constantly advocating for this is because they want less Democrats voting.
The voter fraud reason is almost non-existent bullshit.
Simple, it doesn't. It's more about suppressing voter turnout because one side historically benefits from lower turnouts during elections. They say it's to solve a problem but that problem categorically doesn't exist.I don’t understand how voter ID makes a difference. I am registered to vote at a certain location. They have a book there with all the names of the voters in the district along with a copy of their signature when they registered. I sign my name next the copy of the signature on file and then am handed a ballot.
For someone to vote illegally using my name, they would have to know my district and show up there and then try and forge my signature in front of an official. Say they get by that and are able to cast a ballot. When I go in to cast my vote I will be told I already voted and then the fraud will be discovered.
You do realize that the poorer people are, the more likely they are to drink or smoke, both of which require an ID to get, right?
You are way too smart to get wrapped up in this BS propaganda that poor people can't get an ID. You're telling me we have a bunch of voters out there that don't drive, don't drink, don't smoke, don't work, don't have a bank account and don't ever do anything in this world that is required with an ID? Get out of here.
Let’s call this what it is. It’s not about voting or ID. It’s about Newsom trying to feather his nest with placating, gratuitous legislation to help fuel his 2028 run for POTUS.
Not if you are visibly old.
13% of people in the US are unbanked. A lot do not drive - especially in big cities.
You don't need ID if you're old to buy alcohol or cigs.
Would you be willing for the free government issued ID to every citizen?
So despite claims that this is really about the integrity of elections, enough Republican supporters have slipped in moments of candor to validate Democrats’ suspicions — that this is about stifling the fundamental right to vote for minority constituents Republicans don’t typically win. No matter the real or perceived effect of voter ID laws, that intent is racist.Longtime Republican consultant Carter Wrenn, a fixture in North Carolina politics, said the GOP’s voter fraud argument is nothing more than an excuse.
“Of course it’s political. Why else would you do it?” he said, explaining that Republicans, like any political party, want to protect their majority. While GOP lawmakers might have passed the law to suppress some voters, Wrenn said, that does not mean it was racist.
“Look, if African Americans voted overwhelmingly Republican, they would have kept early voting right where it was,” Wrenn said. “It wasn’t about discriminating against African Americans. They just ended up in the middle of it because they vote Democrat.”
