I still never understand prison sentences. Sentenced to 5 years in 2025 and gets out February 2026? I thought he’d be in til at least 27 or 28.

Ah well. Dude got lucky with what he did, and at least didn’t completely get away with it. I don’t think he’s likely to reoffend at all so he’s not a threat to the public so letting him out way early is fine.

Anyone know if the guy he accused of touching his nephew was found guilty at all? Is investigation ongoing or was there no evidence and he’s most likely innocent?

The judge sentenced him knowing he'd be up for parole within a year. He's the perfect candidate for it.

Chances are he'd only reoffend against whomever sexually molests his elementary-aged son.
The kid might as well wear a shirt saying "Molest me. I dare you."

That date comes from an unreliable source. Currently the trial setting hearing is scheduled for April 15. For that hearing only the lawyer needs to be there. The trial itself can be much later until they all agree on the jury, allowed evidence....
