Rumored Cain Velasquez is being released from prison tomorrow

Excellent news

Cain shouldn't have even gone to prison though

He did nothing wrong and only people who supported the perps would disagree

Now that he will released, he needs to get a lawyer and sue those evil parents to bankruptcy who protected their perp son and allowed those heinous crimes at daycare centre to occur

Justice needs to prevail
He did though…

Law and Order exists in society for a reason. Even though it’s never applied evenly among the people.

Cain shouldn’t have put the greater population at risk. He could have followed the guy until he stopped driving and then popped him.

So everyone should be held accountable for their actions.

That being said - as a Father - I can understand that rage. It’s a tough spot where logic and rational thinking goes out the window and uncontrollable rage is the only emotion.

*California prisons are overcrowded.
*Cain had no criminal record.
*Dozens wrote letters to the judge, displaying his status amongst the latino community.

And yes, I know of all the details of the crime and the arguments at the trial.
Maximum sentences are typically given to hardened criminals that are cancers upon society.
Cain doesn't qualify, and effectively deserved a light sentence, which he received.
It's the no criminal record part that saved him. The prison population in CA is actually way down from where it once was, but cases like his are given leniency in CA law; if it were his second or third offense, he would have done several years of hard time (20 to life for the third offense if he got under the 3 strikes law). He actually was in a level 1 for most of his actual prison sentence, so it wasn't per se hard time.

The sentence wasn't quite as short as it seems- he was given credit for the time he was out on GPS monitoring, so he has basically been getting sentence credit for the 4 years since the incident between jail, prison level 1, and ankle GPS at home. He is being released early for good behavior, but he still has several years on supervised parole/probation.

Deserved more years to be honest
It wasn't all that unusual for a first-time offender with no criminal record or reputation. He got 9 years total with 5 years + 4 conditional parole release. If he were to violate parole, he could end up doing 9+ years. He would have done much worse if he had a criminal record.

Absolutely. He's getting out because he's famous and Dana White who is friends with the president was sending letters to the judge. If this was anyone else or any of us we would be doing a proper bid for reckless endangerment and probably attempted murder. There are 'fans' in here celebrating a two tier justice system.

And Cain Velasquez is my fave UFC fighter ever btw.
People just really, really lack perspective.

If it was one of their loved ones who got hit by a stray bullet from Cain acting like a complete lunatic they'd have an extremely different view on this but that's about the scope of your average American dumbass.

Gotcha, thanks for letting me know. Like I said, I'm not super familiar with the case... But there was speculation that the accused's parents are involved or something? If that's the case, hopefully they are brought to trial also. Because it sounds like a lot of people defending Cain's actions were saying the parents definitely knew about the alleged abuse.
I think they started with their conclusion
"Cain fighter, fighters good. Pdfs bad, shooting at pdfs good"
And then had the balls to imply that those of us criticizing Cain's vigilante tour were either siding with, or running cover for "these obvious pdf monsters"

There's no hope for a good faith debate with posters that are sincerely dim bulbs, let alone those of which were just being deliberately obtuse.

The pavlovian adherence to seeing Fighter Worship as not only a virtue, but the top priority is the most egregious example of an outdated sher-dogma that needs to go.

They're athletes and they train hard (commendable achievements)
to quickly and effectively beat the shit out of athletes that train hard so they can earn money (not inherently virtuous at all)

Prison is a game changer for a man. You sit in that dark room all day and reflect on life, get free meals every day without that annoying ass desk job, and lift weights and take steroids. Everyone should try it.

How TF are you getting roids in prison? You'd really risk an extended sentence for some tren?
