Bryan Battle is already back with another major MMA organization.

The PFL announced Friday that it has signed Battle (12-2, 1 NC) to be part of its middleweight roster less than a month after the 30-year-old parted ways with the UFC.

Battle became a rising contender in the UFC’s welterweight division after winning The Ultimate Fighter 29 as a middleweight.

He went on to compile a 7-1 (1 NC) UFC record, but his stint was marred by weight-cutting issues including misses against Randy Brown and Gabriel Green. T
he problem came to a head at UFC 319, where Battle was supposed to return to 185 pounds to fight Nursulton Ruziboev.

Disaster struck and Battle ended up missing weight again, coming in four pounds over the limit for a second straight fight.

Anyone know if his deal will allow him to do DBX dirty boxing again?

Kind of a shame this dude was 7-1 in the UFC and the type of wildcard that makes for interesting fan experience.. Aka "my kind of crazy"

Hope he is making a solid bag or he can get out of there and come back if he wins a few

I don’t think they do it on purpose

Also, War Poo Bear !!

I’m not saying that they do it on purpose, but it’s literally part of their job. Train for your fight and show up on the weight you’ve contractually agreed to.

I’ll never not blame the fighter for missing weight, if they’re too injured to make weight don’t fight.

Ange Loosa finding a way out of that fight still bothers me. I rarely think it's appropriate for fighters to whine, but Battle was completely within his rights to be pissed off.

Biggest fish in a tiny pond in Charlotte and it went to his head.
