Looks like he’s no longer with the promotion, cant say im too surprised as his entire UFC career he’s battled weight issues

just get some actual muscle and move up to 185 yu have a big enough frame for it

Three weight misses, two in a row, including moving up and missing. Guy has some self control issues. Hope he can get a hold on it, exciting fighter.

Yeah that's guaranteed to get you the boot and fair enough.

Going on Ariel Hawani's show and smirking about it, certainly didn't help his cause. Grow up, dude.

He did? Wonder what his opponents thought about this.

It did enter my mind that they might have done it as punishment but thought given his record they'd instead go for something more like forcing him to fight at 205 from now on.

I liked him and thought he had potential to become ranked at 170 but he's obviously just not professional enough for it. Hopefully this is a big wake up call for him, he can put together a run either on the regional level (or somewhere like PFL) at a specific weight class (assuming 170 is too tough a cut, 185 or 205) where he wins say 5 fights quite comfortably and makes weight every time.

It's a fair cut in my eyes. Twice in a row at two different weight classes to miss weight is terrible. It might take a year or 2 but he's still relatively young in the sport, I think there's a way back for him if he wants it and can commit to being professional but he's probably been told in no uncertain terms that he's fucked up for UFC and if he can't demonstrate he can treat the weight cut professionally, he won't be welcome back win or lose.

Will be genuinely interesting to see if he treats it as a wake up call, changes things up and takes it serious to get back in or just retires/accepts fighting for small promotions so he can keep fucking around.

I watched the clip and no he didn't. Not the way that poster is making it out. He was very upfront saying he fucked up and expected to be released. Said if the UFC was gracious and gave him another chance he would be grateful but he felt he isn't entitled to any sort of kindness. Said he would go back to the regional circuit and fight to prove he can get this weight management under control and show he can make weight.

He just didn't cry and beg for forgiveness.

He'll hopefully make his way back to the UFC one day after getting a good regional run. He's still young.
