We're obviously not talking about the people that have already made up their minds though.
We're talking about the ones that haven't, the ones that don't usually vote, single issue voters, or the ones that might just say "fuck it, they're both trash" and not vote.
The guy in the MAGA hat isn't voting for Harris, and the feminist isn't voting for Trump, but there are people in the middle of that.
It doesn't help your political campaign to bring out voters if you're going to help confirm the worst things said about you.
This isn't about lifetime Republican voters. If you're trying to court NEW voters, and they went to your campaign rally and this was their introduction to your party, that could very well turn a lot of people off.
I don't know or care if Hinchcliffe is racist, it's not about him. The issue is the Trump campaign thinking a roast comedian doing race jokes was a good idea for a political rally.
