Bow Down To The NFL GOAT

I'm not sure what you think Aikman is bitter about, he's a 3 time SB winner. Any of Aikman's Super Bowl teams would have turned last nights Patriots out. Turned them the fuck out.

I followed football for decades and Aikman played during a time where there was no caps and player aberration. You got to plow as much as you wanted into a team and not fight over keeping them almost every year.

Tom forfeited millions of dollars for many years in a row to keep or sign new players. Aikman never had to worry about losing key players.

Look at the people Troy got to use and Troy was never as good a quarterback.

There's no denying that Brady is great, but he never should have had a chance to win after falling behind 28-3

Atlanta should've gone into ball control mode and started eating up the clock, they were having a lot of success on the ground and went away from it at the worst possible time - after the great Julio catch with like 4 minutes left they could've run it up the middle 3 straight times, eaten up clock/forced NE to burn timeouts, kicked a FG, and made it a 2 possession game with around 2 minutes left. And who knows, they may have picked up a first down or scored and ended it right there

Brady's great because he's taken advantage of the opportunities (GOAT coach, offensive line that does a great job of protecting him 99% of the time, some huge timely plays by their defense that have kept them in games and forced turnovers that put him back on the field, etc), but I think the only place he could've gotten drafted where he would've had a chance to be considered the greatest and win 5 Super Bowls is NE

So as good as he is he's probably the luckiest QB in NFL history too

I concede that Brady is a freak of nature. I believe Montana was just as clutch as Brady but with less physical tools. Overall though, I can't deny Brady has this in his pocket.

Brady is definitely the GOAT. Lol at anyone saying otherwise.

I agree with all of this but there are two things that should still be considered.

A) He STILL has to perform to Belichick's standards and within his system.

B) Every NFL player, whether he's great, a bust or average, is a product of the team that they play for and that team's system and coaching culture. This doesn't just apply to Brady.

Is Brady a God in the football world? Yes he is. Is he also lucky/fortunate because of the draft situation that propelled him to stardom? In a way, yes he is. Would he still have been an elite QB and made it to the SB at some point had he not been drafted by the Pats? I kinda think so.

His situation is the ideal situation that is hoped for by just about every football player across the board; and that is a football player with monstrous fucking talent playing for a coach and a system that makes the best use of that talent.

I don't like the Pats. I think I dislike them as much as a lot of other NFL fans but GODDAMIT I respect the motherfucking shit out of Belichick and Brady.

For sure something happened to me with 5 minutes left in the third and the pats down big. I would say that I suddenly got a feeling that the pats would win, but that would be wrong
It was not a feeling rather a controlled mass of certainty that swept over me. I just knew the pats would win at that point, I knew it with such certainty that I looked at my gf who was feeling sad for me and said "don't worry baby the pats will win"

Aaron Rodgers is a self serving douche bag that only cares about himself, he'd have quit in that game like he did against the Falcons 2 weeks ago. Rodgers can't and never will hang with Brady mentally. There is a reason why Aaron is barely above .500 in the playoffs and Brady has 20+ playoff wins.

Rodgers is more mobile and is more accurate on the move/downfield. Brady is better at everything else. Clutch, pre snap, better in the pocket, better teammate, better leader and just a better player. Rodgers is a giant fucking crybaby who blames everyone else when they lose.

Lol didn't know he had to play corner too

This is rich though coming from a professional Cutler apologist

No other QB could have done what he did yesterday. No running game and up until the 4th quarter he was getting hit all game

You go to 7 super bowls and win 5, that is not luck.

Tom Brady is just cool as a cat under pressure and big games.

There is a reason he has won his whole career and won 5 superbowls, which no other qb has done. And it's not because he got lucky 5 times.

The guy is mentally tough and never out of a game. Even down 28 to 3 I knew that it was not over.

Going to watch Skip and Stephen A Smith for once, their/their panelists mental gymnastics to try and deny Brady the GOAT title will be fantastic
Skip is on Brady's jock, bro. Also, Skip has his own show now on FS1. Skip is saying that Brady has surpassed Jordan now.

And for this credit really does have to go to Belichick. He is the only NFL coach that I know of who can consistently win championship games with less than stellar talent. While other teams may have stellar players, Belichick has a stellar team and it's the team that wins it or loses it. He's a helluva coach and a helluva leader.
He out coached Quinn BADLY in the 2nd half. It's hard to separate Brady from Belichick and vice versa, so I'll just leave that one alone for now. But obviously Brady being clutch combined with Coach B. making all the right moves down the stretch is hard to beat.

My friend who read the Belichick book said years ago that Belichick is the master of making halftime adjustments.

I need to call him and get his take.

Rewatching this game now. The whole thing is surreal.

Their patience in the second half is incredible. Idk how the hell you take your time down 19 in the 4th, but that's exactly what they did. Down 25 points with 19 minutes left, and it's Blount up the middle for 3, Blount right for 10, Blount left for 1, huddle huddle huddle tick tock. They created a downhill snowball, slowly but surely. Hoodie is frickin ice cold, no emotion at all. There's just no equal to these 2 guys in the clutch.

Even in his Super Bowl losses, Brady has marched the team down late to take leads. It was stupid for anyone to say Brady ain't the GOAT because Tyree can catch a ball with his head. But whatever, I'm glad the discussion is officially over now even for the dumbest of NFL pundits.

I actually want to say damn near impossible to beat. They're the dynamic duo of football.

During yesterday's game Belichick was quoted as saying that if you wait until halftime to make adjustements you've already lost. His wisdom showed yesterday because I've seen the Pats make some adjustments yesterday while the game was being played.

As I said before, Belichick is the Sun Tzu of football. He's the gold standard of NFL football coaching.

Well for me personally the GOAT discussion was already over after #4 against The Hawks. Those who didn't see Brady as GOAT at that point and needed last night's win to give him his props were basically living a lie.
