Nobody finishes Ortega easily. Lopes came closer than anyone. But Ortega has one of those rubber chins were he can go down but never out like Diaz or Holland

huh...? no one is arguing that Max is better than Volk. Max being his best win doesn't mean he is better than Volk.

Volk is much older and has more arguments that he is not in his prime.

Volk has definitely declined. He's still really good though
 
I do think Volk looked regressed against lopes. But not enough to prevent him from leveraging his generational fight IQ to still get the W.
 
They both got dropped in their next fights. Holloway's offense still looks good, he's actually faster at LW and has more pop on his punches, he's just losing some durability and has gotten dropped 3 fights in a row after not getting dropped at all in 32 fights.

Volk won, but he looked quite a bit slower and also got dropped by a guy he probably would have walked through a couple years ago and was hurt several more times.
 
Volk’s chin seems to be a lot less durable

But really El Toppy knocked some life back in to those guys

You believe beating a 35-year-old Volk coming off a ko loss is better than beating a 32-year-old Max on a 3-fight win streak because Volk beat Max 3 times. If you wanna make that argument, that's fine, but let's be honest: The 2nd Max v.s. Volk fight was close as hell and you know it.

Btw, I also like how you left out that Volk has a tko loss to Corey Nelson, a random scrub nobody has ever heard of.
