I am going to be in the minority on this one but this movie lugged through parts like it didn't know what it was. It starts off with it being an action movie and then it slow down to a crawl. The movie at times felt like it was on the cusp of being something that the other marvel movies aren't and then it just jumped on the well traveled road.
Here is how the movie should have went. Killmonger should have not had the agenda of killing every suppressor around the world. Make him a character that is about destroying or opening up the advance society whatever it is called to relieve the suffering of nearby neighbors (famine, aids, war, disease, refugies, ect) . The moment Killmonger becomes a genocidal maniac, he no longer is a character that anyone can sympathize with. We could have had a bad guy that was more "right" than the society that the good guy emerged from. Imagine, that. A bad guy and a good guy both operating in a very gray region. But no, they fucked it all up and made it into this pointless black and white movie. Killmonger could have been this good guy who would do anything to save his neighbors. An end justifies the means sort of a guy that you can't really argue against his intentions.
I give it a 6/10. I liked that it was touching on stuff that other super hero movies haven't but it played it safe when it shouldn't have.
