Big bands you never cared for...

yeah, he released it at the right time. my father in law is a huge Bruce fan so I agreed to take him to his recent tour…I must say I was fairly bored haha, but pretended to enjoy it more than I did for his sake
I know what you mean man !! :):)....one of my friends took his teen daughter to a Tokio Hotel (yeah that one-night hit crap of a band) and had to pretend he loved them for her sake !!!!! Lord help me !!:):):)......
.....hey, Tokio Hotel is another "big" band I love to not care for !!!!! They are no more which means I was dead right when I used to say they wouldn't make it for long :):):)

Beetles, Bruce Springsteen E Street, Rush,

Led Zep, Queen, Slayer, Megadeth, Foo Fighters, Aerosmith, RHCP, AC/DC, U2, Van Halen, RATM...

Van Halen and Aerosmith agreed, I figured they were mainly an American thing. I’d also add Kiss, maybe you had to be there.

agree with a lot of these but you’re way off on L Zep

Plant is a horrible singer and so many songs which would've been classics were completely fucked up by his unbearable screaming (e.g. The Song Remains the Same & Achilles Last Stand). They also stole a lot of songs and gave absolutely no credit to the original writers.

Me neither. However, I had to re-rate Little Steven , the band's guitarist down thru the years because apart from his excellent guitar style, he has been promoting new, young garage psych bands thru his LSUG project.
As for The Boss, I prefer his wife Patty Scialfa, who sings very well, she was one of the vocalists in the ES Band, then gradually went solo and has released 3 or 4 excellent albums. I do like Bruce's second last album though coz he's gone back to his roots in that one.
I always say this is the best Rolling Stones song that isn't a Rolling Stones song. This was on an episode of the Sopranos

Bruce Springsteen and his E street band…never understood the hype

Was never a huge fan either.
Can't say I was ever really a fan either but I like a lot of covers of his songs. Funny thing is, a few years back when Bruce toured Australia, he would cover a song by a local band at each stop and some of those were great.

So I like covers of Bruce Springsteen songs, and I like when Springsteen covers other peoples songs I guess.

My fav cover of a Springsteen song is by RATM "The Ghost of Tom Joad" :):)

Nirvana. Yes, I said it.
I dig em, perhaps they just hit the scene at the right time and kicked out the pomp that was possessing rock in that period ! Personally, I welcomed grunge in the 90s like I had welcomed punk in the late 70s.....rock needs a huge nudge to renew it and keep its rebel flag high n flyin'......Marylin Manson Is another huge nudge to rock....luv him or hate him !!!:)

While I love grunge, I have to admit that I don't care for outfits like Soundgarden, Mudhoney and the sort. I prefer Mother Love Bone, TOTD, etc.
Another garbage band was The Smiths with that creep Morrissey who was blatantly racist in every occasion .....pure shit !!!!

Rush. I've never understood the hype and literally everyone I know thinks I'm mental because of it.
Nobody's mental in music coz music is highly subjective :):).
The hype for Rush is probably due to the fact that their sound is TRULY and PURELY prog !!!! No surrogate Marillion and Phish garbage in Rush :):)

Kiss (Gene Simmons go fuck yourself with a broken beer bottle)
U2
RHCP (rapist scumbags)
Pearl Jam
Aerosmith
Linkin Park
Nirvana
Fleetwood Mac
Motley Crue

I don't know if there that big, but Black Sabbath I don't feel anything for them.

Just noise imo.
what are you 83 years old ?

Black Sabbath might be the single most influential band to ever exist.

Totally and unconditionally agree 1000 000 % with Linkin' garbage Park :):)

I've never been able to get into Rush. They're okay and they can play but they don't grab me for whatever reason.
