Which fighter has/had the most inconsistant chin?

There was a screwup with the round timer, giving a few extra seconds at the end of the first round for Rumble-Arlovski, during which, Rumble blasted Arlovski and broke his jaw. "Glass Chin" Arlovski still went the next 2 rounds and stayed competitive
But what about the handful of fights in affliction and strikeforce?

Randy Couture was better. Fedor fought cans and Randy beats him and all his opponents. Fedor literally ducked Randy trying to say it was money related then lost to Bigfoot.
Please. Enson Inoue, most notable for almost dying against Igor Vovchanchyn and losing to anyone with a name, mopped the floor with Handy Randy in his prime.

Yeah you're right, Couture must have been worthless than, thanks for the MMath! Randy literally makes Fedor look like ... well like Fedor looked against Bigfoot and Hendo....

Except Randy has more or less never done that to anyone at HW.
Randy trained a single time with Fedor and never mentioned wanting to fight him again.
We all know what happened on the mats.

Those are the first two that popped into my head as well.
Makes sense, you're a real one who has been doing this shit. I think for most long timers, those were among the first that came to mind. Arlovski the poster child for this question lol

The incredible recovery time for PRIDE fighters seemed to disappear

Yeah, Arlovski was hard to figure out. Got KO'd by Datsik and Brett freakin' Rogers, but traded blows and went to a decision with Rumble, prime Bigfoot Silva (first fight) and others.

I think maybe Edson Barboza. He got a lot of slack from his equilibrium being knocked off by Jaimie Varner i beleive, and also Cowboy Cerrone i think k.o.'d him with a jab in which Edson said he was blinking when he got hit and people took as a typical brazilian excuse. But ive seen him get clocked with some pretty heavy shots and keep fighting. What you think or who you got?
Barboza was a puzzle in general. Like you said, got KO'd when he was still young and had a chin against Varner and Cerrone, but a much older Barboza destroyed Dan Hooker and beat Pettis and others. He was a real "styles make fights" guy, and it was hard to know which styles he'd match up well against.

Randy wasn't in his prime and Enson didn't "mop the floor" with him. Randy's submission defense was still green early in his career. Overeem's brother also submitted him. But he worked on it and didn't get submitted in his last 10 years of fighting.

Enson spent most of his fight with Randy sitting on his butt hoping Randy would go to the ground with him. He caught Randy with a sub, but didn't dominate the fight at all.

You might have missed it. It's ok. Randy was tapping out while Enson was mopping the floor.

Thank you, my friend. Arlovksi's come back after those brutal Strikeforce run, and then making it back to the UFC was rather amazing to me.

BigFoot Silva. i saw him eat everything Fedor threw at him, and also get slept by Eric Pele with 1 punch. i saw him go to war for 5 rds with Mark Hunt eating bombs, then get slept by Hunt with 1 punch in the rematch.

Bigfoot was on TRT in the first fight which is why he probably ate those shots

Charles Oliveria.

Back when he was at '45 he'd go down by catching wind from a punch, but at '55 he became known as one of the toughest mfers in the UFC. & then recently got dropped by Ilia.

Nah, Charles never had a particularly good chin at 55 either, still got dropped alot. It's his recovery and heart that looked much better there.

Randy pulled a Ngannou sitting out as HW champ trying to solely fight Fedor. I think people underestimate him bad today. The guy signed to fight prime Liddell, Randleman, Tito, Vitor, Barnett, Rizzo, Ricco, Brock, and Sylvia.

If anything he had good sub defense at the time. Never submitted in the UFC. Then you had Fedor having trouble with Lindland/Arona, losing to Hendo/Bigfoot after.

I think it would've been a cointoss. Fedor blitzes and lands clean or Randy survives before it hits the clinch or takedown. Most of Fedor's wins over wrestlers were from subs or cardio. Randy was a good wrestler, usually came in with a gameplan to avoid getting KO'd. Fedor was good at scrambling, but I wouldn't say he was great at getting up from takedowns if he couldn't get the sub.
