You are already bald like enright. Check and check.

Hike: 15.5 miles (6hrs) South Mountain from end to end.

My feet hurt. I wrapped several toes in medical tape, and I still came away with a few blissters. Needed more water, since finishing at 2:30pm I've drank: 1L water, 32oz gatorade, 32oz slushie, 3 glases of Diet Pepsi (free refills), 1 large Margarita, 2 glasses of Gatorade, 1/2L of water, and I'm still parched. I think its safe for beer now.

I hear you.

I was on a jungle trek in Laos last year, and on the way back to civilization, it took us about 12 or 13 hours to make it out of the jungle to the first paved road; since it was the rainy season, the one mud road leading past the hilltribe villages near the base of the jungle was impassable even on 4WD.

I didn't have enough water with me during the trek, and when I made it back out the that first little roadside market, I drank a bottle of 7-up (literally the first thing I saw), followed by a liter a water, followed by a bottle of Coke, followed by a thing of juice. I drank another liter of water on the drive back into town, and when I pissed later that day for the first time it was still the color of orange juice.

We had Indian food for dinner that night, and the beer that I got with it was the best tasting alcoholic beverage I'd ever had in my life.

Sounds like a rough trek. The last few hours of hiking I fantasized about my next meal. I knew whatever it was, It'd taste like gold.

Holy crap. You did that on purpose?
Yeah, needed to get one long-ish hike in before next week. It's going to hurt.

Bought some lacrosse balls today. I'll give them a whirl later. They're great on my feet so far.

Oh man, that is the best feeling in the world. Especially because either my shoes shrank or my feet got fat because my shoes have been tight lately. Rolling the lax ball on your foot is heaven.

They were sold on a 2 pack, so I think one will permanently live under my desk. I dropped an arch playing basketball and its been hurting since my hike last week. That, and my feet flatten out in the summer as I live in flip flops.

I'm doing the Grand Canyon on Saturday. I think I'll pack one away for the painful aftermath... my feet are going to revolt.

Let's all pray for Liquid! He hikes the grand canyon rim to rim today which is about 25 miles.
