No, I am not from TLI, but I wonder if you are.

Lloyd's statement regarding this young lady focused not so much on her, but on what he was doing for her. And yes I have a problem with that because it's opportunistic and makes him look like the narcissistic shmuck that he apparently is. Why does he write about how he's going to keep coaching her and so on? That's clearly an attempt at damage control. The message is that despite being victimized by members of her own team there, she will stay with TLI and her amazing coach :rolleyes: to achieve her dreams. It would have been much better if he released something short about her condition, condemning the attackers, thanking people for their concern, and that he would pass along well wishes. That might have been classy even, but I guess that isn't his style. And that's leaving out the whole entire issue of: a man who was acquitted for gang rape using "I wasn't hard" as a defense going to the bedside of a young woman who has just been raped by 2 men and left (probably with some level of head injury) in a heap in a friggin parking garage. The last thing she needed was a sales pitch, but that's probably what she got.

I don't think that everyone at TLI are bad people, far from it. But this thing busting open has shown that many of them have disturbing mindsets. My assumptions about some individuals at TLI and what she's probably hearing from them are based on Lloyd's various statements and the way that the family of another student (Keenan) were trashed on facebook after they encouraged him to leave. It was disgraceful.

Did you take classes in tabloid journalism because you pulled out a few words from an entire sentence making it sound completely different from what I said. What I said was "I think too much is being placed on what happened 20 or so years ago and should be focused more on the two guys who are really horrible, awful, despicable people, which by the way I don't think can be taught by someone to be that way. You left all the bolded part out of the sentence, which completely changes the context of what I said. If you are going to quote me, please use the entire sentence.

Going through Nakapan statement in my head there are just to many inconstancies for me to think that he is telling the whole truth:

So they way I look at it Nakapan must of known through his close relationship with Lloyd, that Lloyd is always packing... So why then would Nakapan make out that Lloyd went out of his way, to carry a gun to a business meeting... for the sole purpose of intimating him?.. When Nakapan would have been in countless business meetings where Lloyd was packing?

That looks like a blatant twist of the truth

I just find it ridiculous to think that Lloyd would pull a gun on Nakapan and him not report it. Even if Nak was making Lloyd millions a year and wanted to leave why would a guy who is known millionaire with a lavish lifestyle risk losing his freedom when he dodged the prison bullet once already? Do people really believe Nakapan thought that Lloyd would shoot him or do him bodily harm if he didn't continue working with him?

It's not to say that people don't do stupid things that defy sense but the likelihood of those two events happening between two people who are at least in the proximity of average intelligence is miniscule IMO. Nakapan's story reads like a blatant lie and the funny thing is that people who don't like Lloyd for whatever reason are regarding it as the gospel truth. A grown ass man who has fought Muay Thai and BJJ on highly competitive levels is bullied by his team leader? Nakapan didn't even get his black belt from Lloyd, he got it from Leo Dalla, Lloyd's master.

If Nakapan wanted out he could have gotten out like he did a few weeks ago. Now that he's found a reason to leave he wants a business gimmick to make more money with. How the hell a software program can make enrolling in Martial Arts Schools "fun" is beyond me but let's see if he convinces enough idiots to waste their money on it to make back his "$150,000."

Well, that really depends.

a) Nak might not really have known that Lloyd has a CCW.

b) Nak might have known but had never seen it since it's a *concealed* weapon that you're not allowed to expose in Maryland unless you're intending to use it to defend yourself. In which case he only assumed Lloyd had it with him. But that is obviously not the case since Lloyd already admitted to carrying it with him everywhere and jumped immediately on the defense with a Facebook post explaining that he has it with him at all times and "everyone" knows he has it, so Nak shouldn't have been surprised that it was present at their meeting.

c) Nak didn't know Lloyd had a CCW and Lloyd intentionally exposed it at the meeting.

d) Nak did know Lloyd had a CCW but had never actually seen it on Lloyd's person because it's illegal to expose your CCW. Therefore, Nak felt threatened that a gun was openly displayed by the man he was about to financially hurt.

I've been posting here for years, and have been very open about where I train, who I train under, and I've even got pictures of myself posted on here. And frankly, I'm getting pretty sick of the ad hominems against anyone who doesn't fall in line with the groupthink around here.

I've been very open about what I think about Lloyd Irvin as well. But apparently saying that I think he committed rape and perjury in 1989 isn't good enough, because I don't think hosting free rape prevention seminars was EVIL. Yup, that must mean I'm Lloyd Irvin, or one of his minions.

That's the quote from the letter Nakapan wrote. He never said Lloyd pulled a gun on him or pointed at him or waved it around. Like I said above, if Lloyd had it on his person and intentionally exposed it despite not being legally allowed to in Maryland (and not allowed to have it at all in DC), I agree that that would be an intimidation tactic. Especially considering Lloyd is a massive Scarface fan, threatened Melanie on Facebook, and showed us what I can only surmise is an Uzi from Scarface in his baller video.
