To answer your question I believe a lot of folks based on the way people are talking online and jumping to conclusions about Lloyd would not join the team right but we don't want them anyway. On JT and Keenan, why would they have to speak out, It speaks for itself that they still training part of the team. Time will tell as you have said, but I believe it will be strong times for the TLI family.

It is clear that neither of us is going to convince the other. I will say that your arguments are somewhat better than some of your team. I assume your team is TLI as you refer the them as "we". At least you haven't pulled the "hater" card out yet. I can't stand the "hater" card. If it were an effective argument then i'm sure lloyd would have used it against the IRS. Perhaps he did and that's why they hit him with the lien, or maybe they saw his hip-hop baller video and decided that invalidated the hater defense.

If people do leave your team do you think it's justified? What if one of your medal chasers left? Would they become instant enemies or could they leave on good terms with the team?
 
Ha! I meant neither group realized it was rape, didnt "think" it was. Or at least tried to act like it wasn't, which is more like it.

FYI:

You know it's funny, when this guy made his account on the same day the rape story broke, and most of his posts were just blindly defending Lloyd, a lot of us accused him of being part of the team. It's well known that a lot of businesses and public figures have people go around online and post things supporting them. There is also word that Lloyd has at least one person whose job it is to do that. And then I pointed out that his IP address traces to either Baltimore or DC (he claimed he was from Germany).

Devnull has denied being affiliated with TLI. This is the first time I've heard him essentially admit it, calling the team "we." Interesting, no?

I'm really glad to see the threads here and other places. Aside from being really angry and disgusted about all of this, I live in the DC area and am planning to go back to training later this year after I have surgery and am cleared for it. TLI was not on my shortlist but the thought that I could have ended up with one of their affiliates without realizing Lloyd's history and all this other stuff is horrifying. I know a lot of people would feel the same about giving any money, directly or indirectly, to him.

And if nothing else, Lloyd's current video releases will probably drive a few potential customers away even if it attracts a some trashy ones looking for that 'playa lifestyle.' (ugh) It's obvious from the facebook screencaps that he has no one in his life to tell him how much he is embarrassing himself.

The kind of blind allegiance he's displayed can only be attributed to affiliation. There are others who are bit more subtle and have plausible deniability, but I have my suspicions about them too. The fact is, at least ONE of these LI supporters in this thread and others are on LI's payroll. Maybe its kgb or dn, or one these brand new users who claim to be keeping it "fair and balanced". I dunno. But its one of them, for sure. So I simply refuse to engage them directly now because it would be an utter waste of time.

You guys are doing a really good thing keeping this in the open and staying up to date.
Speaking of that, does anyone know if the attack survivor is still under the sway of this creep? It was really upsetting to read about how he went to the hospital to talk to her right afterward. I'm sure she didn't know his history at the time but hopefully she knows now. I wouldn't be surprised if she does have some form of stockholm syndrome though, especially if she's getting told that her TLI 'family' are the only ones that understand, the only ones that respect her, etc. I just hope she has some genuine people in her life, family and pre-bjj friends, who she will listen to. If this happened to me and I refused to cut ties I think my mom would seriously consider hiring a hitman for the Almost-Rapist coach.

This is exactly what frustrates me. If he didn't go to the hospital you would be talking about what a piece of shit and how he should've gone because she is from his team.You honestly think he shouldn't have gone because he couldn't possibly be concerned about her with his past? Then you say it was upsetting to see that he went to the hospital to talk to her right after, which was the right thing to do regardless of anything else. I don't even want to get into the "Stockholm Syndrome" thing. And who says that none of the people on her team were not genuine friends? Just because of LI and the two other guys, doesn't mean that nobody there is genuine. Are you from TLI so that you know for a fact that she is being told that the TLI family are "the only ones that understand and respect her?" Remember, there a lots of innocent people who train/trained there, just like others on this forum who train at different places, who had no knowledge of anything about what happened 20 years ago and I am pretty sure they didn't know she was going to be raped by two scumbag teammates. She probably had a lot of girls she trained with that are her close friends. Guys too. Stick to what we actually know and don't make assumptions on other things. That is how rumors get started.
