I saw similar attitude and views in so called modern religious group that copy the american preaching style.

I think it's important to note that Lloyd probably did rape her, saying he was impotent was only his defence because the victim couldn't positvely identify him in the dark and while being forced to perform oral sex on his buddy at the same time
