Oliver Stone should make a movie about this. someone should be writing this script right now
I'm curious, is this a uniquely American thing?
are European, Asian, African kids indoctrinated from early on that success in life is determined by setting a goal of accumulating lots of cash so that you can buy lots of stuff and therefore be happy, and then going out doing whatever it takes to achieve it?
or is that really just us? I know we actively export it to a large degree
I think it is used in religious group in the US and LI applied it to BJJ.
I saw similar attitude and views in so called modern religious group that copy the american preaching style.
You know the style where the preacher wear expensive clothes and diamond rings. Preachers using very simple messages which have nothing to do with religion most of the time:
Mateliarism is good, if God loves you he will makes you rich. Please donate to the "church" and god will return back to you etc..."
Because the preacher wants only rich people in his church donating their hard earned cash, suddenly he will start alienating his flock against hater, money blodgers (relatives), unsucesful people etc...
It is like that Oprah message when she tell people that if you want to become succesfull, you have to surround yourselves with sucessfull people.
Basically, you just keep anyone poorer than you out of your life and only socialise with someone that at least as rich or richer than you. ie people you can benefit/profit of instead of become a compassionate human member of society.
You just become a parasite, a user that leach on rich people BUT the way she explains it make you look like a rose and the rest of the poorer people are just haters and losers.
