So, to recap:
1) His rape record comes to light & he opens (however briefly) a website called lloydirvinrape.com
2) His ponzi scheme comes to light, and now we see the above site

Some might venture to say that -- besides being a complete sociopath -- the man's sense of timing is perhaps a little off.

3) A story about him pulling a gun in a meeting surfaces and he "randomly" starts justifying his reason for carrying a gun & explains his disarming techniques. Same thing...over & over. If you're gonna do damage control, at least mix it up man.

in this community, you'll find some outstanding contributors with veteran martial arts/grappling experience...you'll also find well written amateur jounalists/bloggers...you'll also find young/old inexperienced martial artist/grapplers seeking education.

i didn't read any hate in that letter, but rather a well thought out explanation to those people he's created relationships with...a sincere apology written with humility.

This story completely contradictory to Melanie's reasoning for leaving the association on her Facebook post. The only reason for Nak's releasing this because of Ryan and Callos trying to hurt Lloyds business. No where in the letter does he mention his wife or how she was raped and how Lloyd was allegedly silent on that which he was not. I see right through all the games and its very clear what is going on is damage, not hate but damage.

I have a problem with both, lol. It's in the past now, but he was turned to the opposite side the ref was on. If you tap, man up and admit it. I had full back mount and when he tapped I let my hooks and choke go with no resisting from him. He knew he tapped in the match was over till the ref asked why I let go. Then he decided to lie about it when he knew he had a chance to keep going. No Integrity and his team knew it as well and started lying and yelling.

I will say though since I am here that if he has conceal carry permit ( I assume he does ) after his incident so he has a gun, so what who cares. No, not necessarily. There aren't automatically criminal charges brought for every criminal act that has ever occurred, especially those that happened in private settings.

I know about PG county. I've lived in the DMV my entire life. when I worked in the mortgage industry, I met some of the guys running those shady "real estate investment clubs" back in '07 in PG country, Ft. Washington in particular, before that market went away. I know what they were doing. luring in all those middle class folks who were desperate to break into the sort of luxury that exists around other parts of the beltway. they were doing just fine, had money to invest, but they saw how other people were living and they wanted more. nearly all of them were left holding the bag on properties that they dumped their life savings into, only to take a massive loss. but the people organizing the "investment clubs" never seemed to lose any money... because they were playing with other people's money

when I saw Lloyd and his wife selling this shit, I never guessed how far it went, but I should have known. most of the of people who got into real estate in the years leading up to '08 were fucking scumbags.

Irvin always rubbed me the wrong way. I come from a traditional martial arts background and his antics, $$ systems and all that made me wary...

But shoutout to BETA for coming out and telling the truth, and everyone else who is separating from him due to his immoral tactics that are staining the bjj community.

It's such a bad situation because most people struggle to make a living off of our sport (even good teachers), so things like Irvin's money making schemes are particularly attractive. But in the end, as was mentioned in this article, it is better to have morals and struggle with money, than make money with messed up morals...at least if you truly are concerned with the image of our art as a whole, and the martial arts values
