That Twitter timeline is hilarious.
That Twitter timeline is hilarious.
Waiting for people to say the UFC is a disgrace if they don't pick this guy up like they complained when the UFC didn't sign Askren (even though Bellator let him go, but no, bad UFC!!!)
The convenient changes in rules, the undeserved title shots, the frivalous use of interim titles, and the phantom injuries to setup certain fights. Not to mention mismatched tournament brackets in order to setup certain finals.
Bjorn's blatant favoritism towards certain fighters was downright disrespectful. Not long ago fighters still in the organization today, even some of it's current champions, complained about this.
This legit made me laugh out loud.
However, the "not having enough money" thing makes it sound to me like maybe larue asked for some big money. It might have been a "You're good, but not that good, have fun throwing that number around elsewhere" sort of situation. Like maybe they had to sacrifice Larue and his salary demands to keep from having a bunch of other fighters asking for big bumps too.
Not saying it's right or wrong they did that. I can see both sides, but thats what it sounds like to me might have happened
80s hair bands are always good for that.
I completely agree that it is impossible to come to a conclusion about a signing or lack thereof without knowing the details. And we do not know the details. It could be that Coker handled the matter professionally and wisely.
