Shavkat just fought pillowfisted skinny Garry, failed to take him down multiple times, resorted to clinching against the fence, his cornermen had to shake his arms out between rounds as if he was getting fatigued from clinching. He then got taken down by Garry and pretty much potshotted the whole fight to a win. Shavkat is still a good fighter but his finishing ability was overstated due to him fighting guys like Geoff Neal who will stand in front of you and trade in the pocket but can't mix it up or have an educated gameplan.

Buckley last night got taken down by the deadbody of covington and held down for like 1-2 minutes, he looked good and beat colby's ass but Belal is much stronger and a better wrestler than colby which is evident from the Leon fight, I find it hard to believe Buckley will stuff his takedowns if Leon couldn't. Buckley's striking is mostly coming forward and winging big hooks, against Belal who is great with kicks at range and outboxed Leon I don't see that working as well as it did with no testosterone inactive colby.

Other than that you have JDM who was getting outwrestled by Dilbert and had to get a comeback win after being down on the scorecards, also got taken down by regional can Basil Haffez albeit a short notice fight.

Belal will take Rakhmonov's 0, and make Garry eat his jock. He'll wear Buckley out the same way he did to Leon. Speaking of Leon, he could eke out a decision in a rematch if it ever happens.

You are talking as if Bedal is some killer, couldn't finish one armed Gilbert, Couldn't finish Wondermiddleaged man, couldn't finish a sleepwalking Leon and recieved the only damaged ditched in the entire fight.

Don't even remember who else he fought, only that almost all of them were boring ass decisions.

All of which he won though. Handily

never said Belal could finish fights, but he's great at winning, 11 fight unbeaten streak which is like the 3rd longest in the sport currently, and "sleepwalking" leon is a hilarious excuse when he said he got a sleep specialist to work with him and many UK fighters like paddy and aspinall won on that card too

Aside of GSP nobody has ever held on to the belt for a long time at welterweight. Even Kamaru people act like he was some legendary champ when he only had 5 defenses over a 3 year period.

Only 5 defenses is a lot for any weight class, that is a long time to hold a belt for 3 years. There have only been Jones, Anderson, GSP, Aldo, Johnson, Volk, Tito, Izzy, Nunes, Ronda and Hughes that have 5 defenses or more in the history of the UFC. That's not a lot from how many champions there have been, there have been 101 champions.

And at WW Hughes held the belt from 2002 to 2004 and then from again from 2004 to 2006 with 8 defenses. WW has historically been a division that has consistent champions. Hughes 8 defenses, GSP 9 defenses, Usman 5 defenses, Woodley 4 defenses, Militech 4 defenses.

I got all three beating Belal.
I can see the other 2 but JDM trains out of a hole in the wall gym in Perth and his wrestling is very suspicious, taken down by Ramazan Emeev, Burns, Basil Haffez, I think he gets dominated 50-45

I mean that looks impressive cause the sport is still young. 100 years from now only Jones and maybe Fedor will be remembered. Fedor 27 fight unbeaten streak. Jones undefeated 29-0 and 9 years unbeaten at LHW. We will eventually get dominant champs like that in every division one day, that will make 5 defenses and 3 years as champ look like nothing.

It was interesting seeing Buckley backing away from Colby's striking at times. Never see that. I would not favor Buckley versus Belal at all. His TDD looked pretty good at least but Colby also looked slower.

I don't think so, I think the longer we go and the older the sport gets you're gonna have less dominant champions cause the divisions will be deeper and there will be better talent in every division. That is why divisions like BW, FW and LW reach 3-5 defenses max, they're very deep in talent.

JDS I don't see beating Belal. I had Shavkat, Garry and Buckley
