Belal has an even better way of making fights boring, and he's pretty effective at it.

I think it was just an off night for Shavkat. It happens.

Shavkat is who we thought he was. Its gary who is much netter than expected. Though if i recall shavkat had trouble taking neal down early on?

Shavkat was fighting like Merab tonight, was real odd. Might have been fighting hurt or was worried about Ian hurting him. Open space, Ian was the superior fighter, but Belal does not have the striking weapons or speed of Ian, but Shavkat looked very human tonight.

I got a feeling Shavkat will look way better and more like himself against Belal.

Garry also tends to make fights boring.

I do believe there's a possibility he played it very safe considering it was an extremely late replacement and his first 5 rounder ever as well.

However he had alot of opprotunities to go for it, but decided to mash him against the fence instead.

Yea. I felt like he was playing it safe tbh. But we'll see what's going on when he fights Belal.

I think a strong case can be made that Garry is just that f'n good, though. You can tell that Shav's camp was all about 'Don't let Garry hit you with that left kick'. Very tentative approach from Shav.

Garry is very good at what he does, but not all that dangerous on his feet or the clinch.. He can be dangerous on the ground as Shavkat found out. It would be interesting to see a high-level WW just go all out and try to finish Garry. I'm not sure what would happen.
