Belal BEATS Shavkat

Tricky fight. Belal can definitely win, but it's also a very different stylistic match-up for Shavkat than Ian Garry. Still leaning Shavkat, slightly.

The fight involving Brady in Abu Dhabi, you mean? I thought the narrative was that Muslim fighters went to Abu Dhabi because of "that" reason. Is that not the case anymore?

<lol>
Brother Free Palestine fuck the UAE. I don't have nothing against anyone based on their religion.

Belal does whatever he does because he lives in America and ppl over there do that shit.

Again... what's the excuse?

Garry has an awesome chin. The shots Shavkat landed on Ian, would have had Leon wobbling all over the place.
People are forgetting Garry got caught clean multiple times.
That's if Shavkat could manage to hit Leon with big shots like that. Leon is still pretty defensively smart and has only really gotten wobbled/rocked in the Nate Diaz fight which was a fluke punch IMO and I'm not even a Leon fan.

Leon has been in some sort of trouble like that in plenty of fights.
Usman 2 he was outwrestled and on the way to losing.
Colby finished the fight on his back
Diaz rocked him
Barbarena nearly got him out of there

Leon is technically the best WW (IMO) but he is able to be finished and hurt the most in the top 5.

Shavkats wrestling wasn't that great. I guess I'm done with the idea of Khamzat/Shavkat until he looks elite. Shavkat may have been injured though and fought safer than usual.

You're moving the goal post dude. You said that the shots Shavkat hit Garry with would have had Leon wobbling all over the place. I don't know why you're bringing up Usman out wrestling Leon and Colby ending the fight on top of Leon as its irrelevant to what you said in your original post. Colby never hurt Leon on the feet and neither did Usman. Anyhow, 2 instances of Leon almost getting finished on the feet, with one being a fluke and the other being over 7 years ago doesn't really count for much. Shavkat and Garry did not show anything in the stand up that leads me to believe they are finishing Leon on the feet. I know people like to shit on Leon for his performance against Belal but Belal's wrestling won him that, not his striking and there's very few people in taht division who have the kind of grappling to do what Belal did to Leon outside of prime Usman.

Shavkat landed multiple clean shots on Ian, including a headkick, spinning back fist and straight right cross.

Leon has been susceptible to being hurt in those same situations. The guy has had adversity throughout his entire career and looked beatable in fights.
He just got dominated in his last fight. Still technically great, but you only have so many moments like that in a career.
The clean shots Shavkat landed on Ian who wouldn't engage, are the kinda ones that would drop or even finish Leon.

The odds would be interesting for this one, Belal will be underrated for his whole career I reckon

Even if they are ones that would wobble Leon, there is no guarantee Shavkat would be able to land on Leon clean like that which is my point. The Barbarena fight was all the way back in 2017 and the punch Nate landed was very much a fluke. When was the last time Leon got wobbled or dropped in a fight since then? He hasn't cause no one has been able to land clean on him.

His last fight. He got outstruck and landed on almost at will 2 rounds in vs Belal.
Rewatch the fight. The only thing that kept Leon in it at all was that Leon's grappling is underated. He kept himself in there with his counter grappling, not his striking.

Shavkat would be fine to land on him, his grappling isn't Belal's level though, but the difference is somehow Belal just can't hit anybody with any power.
Hell Ian Garry matches up well on the feet though it would be the most boring fight ever.,
