The sooner this pos falls off the box office the better
And when you factor in that Deadpool was a far cheaper movie to make then BvS, the margin is even wider.
Thats crazy a movie with the DC Trinity will barely beat The GOTG domestic haul and lose to DeadpoolI hadn't been paying attention to Deadpool's gross and didn't realize how huge it had gotten. I'd estimate Deadpool finishes it's run around $367mil ($359mil right now) while BvS looks like it's going to putter out around the $338mil mark ($304mil current). That's astounding to me. Who would have believed if this time last year you said Deadpool would outperform BvS by some $30mil?

GOTG and Deadpool are a sign that fans wants to see a new and different heroes.
GOTG and Deadpool also beat all X men movies Domestically even with Wolverine, Professor X and Magneto.
Plz don't you ever mention those comic books, borrowed a friend the whole special edition along time ago, and never got it back. Makes me cryI can second that. I'm a Marvel girl first and foremost, but DC has some stuff I love too. BvS should have been more... And they shouldn't have blown their Doomsday wad so early. Should have made the whole movie about BvS and saved that for their third big movie or something. The death of Superman arc still makes my top 5 list for either Marvel or DC, and they've essentially wasted it already.
Also a sign that quality and word of mouth are big factorts. GOTG and Deadpool had the fans on their side big time. Both integrated a lot of humor and Deadpool's tendency to be obscene felt like a breath of fresh air I"m sure.
Having seen the movie again..just a few notes
Positives:
- Affleck was awesome. He struck just the right vibe as both Wayne and Batman in my opinion.
- Opening scenes (the Batman origin stuff seemed a bit redundant but it was well done). The scene where Wayne was shoehorned into the concluding sequence of MOS was great in my opinion. There was a tension and an intensity to it that came across quite well.
- Gadot was very good- Wonder Woman was legitimately well-executed
- Cavill and Adams seem to get shit on a lot here but I thought they were both good and was actively rooting for them. It's interesting because even though I felt Affleck was the better contributor to the film overall, I was more involved with Supes' storyline.
- Senate hearing is a legitimately creepy/effective scene in my opinion. Both times I went, the audience really laughed as Hunter looked at the Granny's Peach Tea and started to stumble over her words then...BOOOOM...scary shit. Very chilling example of a filmmaker baiting you in with something seemingly innocuous/amusing and then pulling the rug out.
- Hunter herself- very solid for the few scenes she was in in my opinion. Added some weight/credibility in her scenes with Luthor.
- Warehouse Batman scene- just fucking awesome. That is all. Best Batman combat scene thus far.
- Supes vs. Batman fight- pretty legit though the warehouse scene was better.
- Doomsday vs. Superman/Batman/WW- i thought it was well done and entertaining. Effects were strong. I also like how Batman was just trying to get the hell out of dodge was what the hell else could he convincingly be doing.
- Afflceck telling the black mma dude who to win the fight. Subtle moment there, but awesome. Batman could always go into fighter cornerman work once he retires.
- Irons- fun Alfred and one that complemented Wayne/Batman very well.
Drawbacks
- Eisenberg- what came across as silly the first time around to me came off as outright fucking annoying the second time around in a lot of scenes. Really think they went a bad route here. Eisenberg could have done well had they were a significantly different angle with the character. But as it stands- lame.
- Pretentiousness- certain things that didn't even faze me the first time out felt cringeworthy the second time- Batman's "there were perfect things..." opening statements seemed a bit pretentious to me. Many of Eisnberg's lines fit the bill.
- Plot contrivances- Luthor gets the help of that senator for...reasons. "maybe we can help each other." How the fuck does that make sense. Dude somehow has the authority to single-handedly give Luthor more access to the Kyptonian wreckage than anyone else yet never lets on as to what he expects in return?
Luthor being the mastermind setting up Batman vs. Superman feud seemed really tacked on and convenient to me. Almost like Vince McMahon Higher Power type shit.
- Clark Kent/Superman- what in the blue fuck. I know it's pretty much a joke that no one can tell that Clark Kent is Superman, but this movie took it to the next level. So when Superman takes his self-imposed exile, Clark randomly disappears from work? And when Superman dies, Clark happens to die while covering a story. Wake the fuck up Perry White.
- Overstuffed- way too much crammed into one movie

How the film was received has to be the major factor here. Cause Nolan and Burton showed how huge Batman could be as a force on his own. But this film had the stench of that Rotten Tomatoes score before most people even saw it.
While I and others liked it, there were few emphatically positive people- unlike Nolan's trilogy where people were going nuts over the quality.
Not if those movies suck ass like this one
