those movie will be a lot more casual fan friendly and it will also be new and exciting.

even though this movie was great, but those new movie will be even better.

No offense bro but you like Melissa McCarthy movies

Not sure I can take your opinion seriously lmao

Got around to seeing this before Jungle Book came out. Got close to what I was expecting with the content, the terrible pacing and structure for the first half on the other hand brought down everything that wasn't Batman (he'd bring himself down later). No need to discuss the myriad of dreams/visions/illusions.

Liked the Batcave, Batman & Alfred set up. Wonder if Snyder thumbed through Kingdom Come and saw a destroyed Wayne Manor and decided to put that in. Wonder Woman did well for the 7 minutes she wandered around parties and the 5 minutes fighting. Superman & Lois wore out their welcome, Doomsday missed one. Having the group conflict movie start the group ended more ridiculously than I imagined and I thought it was ridiculous from the start. Cap and Iron Man to rebond over best friends being named James.

Luthor was doing well until he became a Looney Tunes character at the end. Glad all his plans with the government went somewhere and didn't just waste an hour. Doomsday was an orc with bad acne made from 1 part Zod, 1 part Luthor blood and 2 parts bad writing.

I'm hoping this whole group is just the Crime Syndicate and they all get imprisoned by a better Justice League in that movie.

Should've gone with Batman v Superman: No Hope

yeah, I know, its the best i could find.

While i can understand not giving this film praise from a film critics perspective, it felt the same as reading a miller comic.

That comic being All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder

You dont like the Pacing? Was it too fast? It is good that it did not drag on.

I just saw this, and I love it.

People who rag on it are not being fair or they are Marvel Shills.

The pacing is great. It does an excellent job of establishing the background, builds tension as good as any showdown movie, sets up the whole universe superbly. It does not drag on with the background, and is paced well enough to make it exciting throughout. It builds up the tension and then bam we get the climax. And I could not ask for a better fight scene for three heavy weights and an overpowered batman.

The soundtrack and special effects cannot be better. This movie ought to be up for an oscar in those two movies. This movie trumps anything Marvel has in these categories, and in fact is probably better than most movies these past few years in soundtrack and special effects.

I get that some people dont like the visions, and dreams, but they were not excessive. And it sets precedent for the rest of the movies. Plus they are stylishly done. And it really adds to the anxiety batman and supes have for each other.

Edit I forget to add, I want to have threesome with Gal Gadot, and Amy Adams. I canned Gal Gadot as choice for WW, but she seems fine. Just needs some more meat, bigger ass and bigger boobies. WW supposed to have a prime Krista Allen type figure.

well i really can't take anyone who his best critics are "this movie suck ass" seriously.

if i say i like a movie, it doesn't mean that move is a masterpiece, it doesn't mean that movie is better than Star Wars.

For me Melisa is funny and her movie is good popcorn flick and worth 1.30 hours of my time.

It's a terrible movie.

It really doesn't deserve my time to deconstruct but for you I'll make an exception.

You liked it? Good for you.

Majority hated it, like me.
Snyder did a terrible job. I actually liked Man of Steel minus Clark letting his dad die. I also liked Watchmen. However his biggest flaw throughout all his films is his editing. He prolongs, extends and adds shit that isn't necessary.

I don't need to know Batman's backstory. I also don't need an hour of literally nothing happening.

I don't need an absurd Kingdom Come and The Dark Knight Returns mutated love child ripped of any humanity to be written by a dipshit like Goyer. I also don't need Batman with an absurd agenda of trying to murder the man who singlehandedly saved the Earth.

I finally don't need Mark Zuckerberg as Luthor.

I grew up with these guys and to see what I've been waiting for over 20 years to finally arrive on the silver screen as a hack job plastered together by a bozo is heartbreaking to my comic book nerd heart.

69% audience in RT liked it, 70% audience in IMBD liked it.

Critics Consensus: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice smothers a potentially powerful story -- and some of America's most iconic superheroes -- in a grim whirlwind of effects-driven action.

from RT tomatoes

Screent Rant, the Guardian said it was an okay movie.

even most critics say it was meh....

some people like me love it, most people like it.

some critics said it was bad, most critics said its okay.

i might be the minority that love this movies, but you also are in the minority when you said the movie is terrible.

most people are mixed.

Critic ratings

28% on Rotten Tomatoes
Metacritic is at 44%

You're going by user ratings on that site
Those are not dependable ratings in the least
@Madmick will tell you better than I can

If this movie was well received it would not have had the severe drop in box office that it has suffered.

Look, you liked the movie. I wish I could feel the same as you. My brother told me the movie sucked before I even watched it but I told him I didnt care and I was going in with an open mind. Sadly, I just couldnt stop shaking my head as I forced myself to watch all 2 1/2 hours of this clusterfuck.

No surprise their revenue isn't that high as expected and hasn't crossed the 1 billion mark in nearly a month, which was their minimum target to cover all costs.
Poor ratings and word of mouth on how (for the lack of word) poor the movie is,has affected it.
Better take it on DVD,if you ever want to see it that is.

those are audience score, which what most people are.

you can't just judge it based on the tomatometer, because its either its good or its bad, there is no other option.

that is why you have to read what most critics said, and most of them said something like it was okay, or it was boring but had some goods part.

very little critics said it was as terrible as you describe.

I will admit I'm a bit more of a hardcore fan which lowers my score for the film. The thing is I've seen Batman/Superman together done right in a wide variety of animated features. Everyone else has also seen Batman and Superman done right individually on the big screen.

There's so much material to work with and I feel that potential was squandered. Look at Wonder Woman, who I actually thought did a fine job. They really didn't use her except for the Doomsday fight. Instead of focusing on Batman vs Superman for 2 hours I feel they should have had them as team much sooner in the film. And a plot worthy of the World's Greatest Detective and The Man of Steel.

Regardless of what anyone thinks I feel they dropped the ball on this one.

yeah, i think everyone expected a movie that will be praised by everyone, instead they got a mixed reaction.

again that is a fair opinion to have, im not debating that.

but to say that most people think this movie as terrible as you think or to say that people that liked melisa mcarthy movie does not deserve to get their opinion look at, is silly.

Lol I was just fucking with you on that.

I was talking about critics when I was talking about others.

I can't trust a bunch of anonymous votes on a public poll where people can and will throw out 10s without possibly seeing the film.

With critics I can at least know they are genuine.
44% on Metacritic is not just meh. That is a terrible consensus below failing no matter how you cut it.

metacritics have 31 mixed, 10 positive and 10 negative.

again you can't just look at the 44% number and assume what it means, you have to look at all those critics carefully.

the critics in metacritics reflect most of critics in other website as well, mostly mixed, some positive and some negative.

and again, in metacritics, audience also scored it 72%

You know a score of 40 counts as mixed right?

I gave this movie a 4/10. Metacritic would classify that as mixed when in reality I feel it's crap.

that is why you have to read the review my friend, not just the score.

and also the audience in Rotten, IMBD and metacritics have to sign up just to put their critics, if you look at audience critics in Batman V Superman, most people are very reasonable and actually make a solid argument and most of them liked it.

btw, Mean/average is not the best when counting consumer satisfaction in 10-100 score

i counted the median in metacritics and got 51

This movie was a successful but not an unequivocall smash hit

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice lost 597 theaters this weekend, most of them being IMAX and PLF auditoriums given up to Walt Disney’s The Jungle Book. The DC Comics superhero sequel earned $9.01 million in its fourth weekend (-61%) to bring The Warner Bros./Time Warner Inc. film’s 24-day total up to $311.31m domestic. It got dinged by The Jungle Book no doubt, both in terms of competition and the loss of bigger screen formats. At this point, the end domestic goal is doubling its debut weekend and topping Spider-Man 3 ($336.5m back in 2007 and in 2D)."

Hoping to match Spiderman 3 isn't a benchmark for success for a film like this

Dude... Why are you so invested in people thinking this movie is particularly good?

Lowered my expectations and enjoyed it.

Badass fight scenes and the score was epic. Didn't have problem with the dream sequences. Luthor was the shittiest part. Better edited than Man Of Steel and more heart than majority of Marvel movies. This movie was bold.
