True, but Yoel has a habit of not engaging also....Yan has come into his own late in his career and he not only has added some tools to his tool box but his fight IQ also...I dont expect him to stand in front of Izzy and leg kick the crap out of him like Costa did but if things dont go his way try to muscle Izzy down or clinch with him and use his size,strength and grappling ability to change the fight.

You are right, Yoel usually reserves his energy to explode in moments of great violence, I hope Jan does not fall into waiting to counter attack for the sake of the fight, I think that Izzy is going to find that 20 extra pounds is a lot to overcome.

If Jan trains for and applies a grappling based gameplan while mixing the boxing in, it's his fight to lose. Jan has underated wrestling, he's very accurate with his TD's, if you look at the fights he used a grappling plan, he's near 100% on TD attempts. The Cannonier fight is a very good example. And he's got a very good submission game, many submissions on his record. The size is also in his favor, around 25 lbs or so.

And he's got the chin and power on his side. Jan has a dam good beard on him and take a shot and plow through it. Izzy gets hit he gets timid. Everyone knows that in this fight if Jan hits him square, Izzy is going lights out cold.

Fans have rooted against both these guys in their last 2 or 3 fights. Izzy can win on points or a really powerfull and precise counter. Jan has more ways to win actually. Sub threat, flash ko, a wall n stall gronding gameplan, a bull rush or a counter ko, although this last option is highly unlikley due to Izzys pedigree on the feet. The real question for me in this fight is Jans chin. Its decent imo but Izzy can catch him.

No he didn't. Very different scenarios. You're talking shit to someone about not watching the fights a few pages back, but yet you can't see the differences yourself.

Against Santos he threw a long lead uppercut combo from out of range, over extending while Santos was ready to counter. There few times he did attack Reyes moving forward and it was very selective, Jan was far more calculated and strategic. He threw one lead right hand when he moved into range and when Reyes would cover up, that is when Jan paused and then moved forward with a combo, but the difference is that the punches were half power and only distracted Reyes to open up the body kick. Reyes covered up and there was no danger of the counter punch. The goal was to finish with the body kick and also force Reyes to his left so Jan can land the power right.

There were a few sequences like that but very different than the Santos fight. And Jan would adjust after every sequence vs Reyes making each subsequent attack better.

he made a dumb mistake bull rushing Santos and has acknowledged that and learned accordingly . His technique and speed have looked great lately and as people brought up hes a black belt an threat on the ground , plus his strength and size advantage will give him the edge if he does bring it to the ground . As long as Jan is smart and dosnt have that Costa "im gonna overpower you and smash you" mindset he's got a real chance . Reyes has clean boxing and speed yet Jan looked faster . Again though its freakin Izzy he's gonna be the betting favorite and rightfully so .

we'll see. Jan softened him up really well with those kicks but that's not an option with Adesanya who beats everyone at kicking range. he's not going to get into punching range without taking damage. and if this happens through the first 2 rounds without progress then I can see him get impatient and rush in recklessly. what's interesting about that is that Israel won't have an enormous reach advantage so when it does get to boxing range, he can't just lean back and hope to counter with hooks and he can't eat too many shots from Jan.
