He walked Thor through his catharsis and he was aware that's what he was doing. He had a maturing moment in GOTG2 and grew as a character. They're not rehashing old hat with Rabbit.
all he was doing was finding out info about where they were going and if it was worth the journey. its not like he offered some great advice.... he just reminded him that Thanos already kicked his ass previously lol

yeah he's had mature moments, but so has Quill. Both are smart asses.... and neither is mature.

At this point this is speculation. Did they put an emphasis on showing Thanos was using the Stone against Hulk? No. Does that mean he wasn’t amped up by it? Not necessarily. We’ll have to wait and see. If he loses the gauntlet in the next movie and say Drax beats the shit out of Thanos we’ll know he was using PEDs (power stone) against Hulk all along.
But like the other guy said, every time he does use the stones they glow. They go out of their way to show that in the movie. Just because it's not explicitly spelled out in dialogue doesn't mean it isn't obvious.

It’s so crazy they changed Thor’s character and turned him into an incredible on screen hero. Ragnarok really improved on his MCU character.

Marvel has done such a bang up job the fans should be worshipping them.
adding the humour helped the character become more relatable imo.... it finally grounded him enough so people could connect with him. It also let Hemsworth show a bit more personality

He says "Time to be the captain." He asks about Thor's family because he senses that Thor needs to talk about his family. The journey is already worth it because Rocket didn't want to go on the other journey.

None of the Guardians are going to be completely mature, but they need mature moments to grow as characters.

Couldn’t agree more.

What about a Spider Man, Nebula, Shuri, Ant Man team up lol

The odd Pairing of characters is what makes these movies awesome.

Thor Groot and rocket. Wut? So awesome though
Oh for sure.
I'm not complaining at all. The unexpectedness of the pairings was part of what made it so intriguing

he said that because Thor literally nominated him as captain lol

also how would he sense Thor needed to talk about his family?

It's insane, their ONE weak link was Thor. His personality sucked and he was underpowered. They've completely fixed the character though, and he's great now. He's a really funny and charming dude, and those thor movies actually get better as they go along.

great movie but i disliked some details.

1. for example black panther doesnt used his charged suit like in the movie.

2. vision kinda sucked overall in fighting. he has the infinity stone in his head and he wasnt still powerful, just got beat up by everyone. that wasnt authentic. marvel made the infinity stone holder very powerfull before.

3. drstrange got outstrucked by a mage which works for thanos but against thanos he makes some very skilled moves.

4. i hope captain marvel isnt more powerful than thor and hulk. i hope she doesnt beat up thanos alone. that would be disappointing.

I really loved Thor’s new star forged battle Axe but am i the only one that thinks MJOLNIR got the screw job.

I really just love that MJOLNIR

Yeah I mean I know it’s not 100 percent but I definitely came away from that scene thinking the Russos were showing how insanely strong Thanos was even sans the infinity stones. Granted he did have the power stone then and there but between it not lighting up as they did in subsequent instances of use, Thanos’ first punch that stuns Hulk being the non gauntlet hand, etc, gave me the sense that they were attempting to show how badly he could fuck even the strongest (or second strongest) Avenger up on his own. So imagine what he’s capable of once he has all the Infinity Stones.

And mike the even crazier part is that Thor 1 isn’t even that bad. It’s hard to make a movie like that not be completely dumb. Then outta no where they make Ragnarok and his character is just 100X better.

that stormbreaker is sick and i loved how groot became his big show there.
that was a very cool combo between rocket racoon, thor and groot. very sick.

imagine how awesome a spin off movie with those 3 teaming up would be?

this movie just proved to me that Thor needs to play at least some part in Vol 3 of GotG
If Thor makes it through this thing and Hemsworth stays on, it'll be interesting to see what they do with him. Asgard is gone.
They can't really make a solo Thor movie on Earth without it being an Avengers movie...so it'd have to be cosmic..I don't see them really doing that at this point in time

Rocket likes to think of himself as the best pilot, him and Quill argued about it in GOTG2. But he says that to himself before approaching Thor because he understands being Captain isn't just about flying the ship. He has to make sure his crew and passengers are well.

Thor was talking about his hammer and forging. But Rocket asks about Loki. He remembered what Thor said when they were on the Guardians ship. Rocket is emotionally sensitive, he sensed that's what Thor needed and he gave it to him. Because he is a good Captain. Because he grew as a character in his previous experiences and can now apply it.
