Yeah Thor 1 and 2 are just the worst marvel movies (imo), but they aren't bad. I just don't like them as much as the others. It's more a testament to how good the MCU really is, because those Thor films are still better than the vast majority of superhero films. And mike the even crazier part is that Thor 1 isn’t even that bad. It’s hard to make a movie like that not be completely dumb. Then outta no where they make Ragnarok and his character is just 100X better.
great movie but i disliked some details.
1. for example black panther doesnt used his charged suit like in the movie.
2. vision kinda sucked overall in fighting. he has the infinity stone in his head and he wasnt still powerful, just got beat up by everyone. that wasnt authentic. marvel made the infinity stone holder very powerfull before.
3. drstrange got outstrucked by a mage which works for thanos but against thanos he makes some very skilled moves.
4. i hope captain marvel isnt more powerful than thor and hulk. i hope she doesnt beat up thanos alone. that would be disappointing.
What is more powerful MJOLNIR or the star forged axe.
it sounds more like you are trying to convince yourself.... out of all the Guardians its been Quill thats shown more leadership qualities..... granted he's prone to emotional fuck ups but I dont see this movie as an attempt to make Rocket the leader.Rocket likes to think of himself as the best pilot, him and Quill argued about it in GOTG2. But he says that to himself before approaching Thor because he understands being Captain isn't just about flying the ship. He has to make sure his crew and passengers are well.
Thor was talking about his hammer and forging. But Rocket asks about Loki. He remembered what Thor said when they were on the Guardians ship. Rocket is emotionally sensitive, he sensed that's what Thor needed and he gave it to him. Because he is a good Captain. Because he grew as a character in his previous experiences and can now apply it.
Dat Axe for sure. I legit almost jumped outta my seat and was like YEEEEAHHHH WOO like a total tard when he showed up to the Wakanda fight and started just murdering fools. THAT is Thor. What is more powerful MJOLNIR or the star forged axe.

YES! It looked EXACTLY like the one he wore in the comic civil war. I was geeking out at how awesome it looked. And I LOVE the mentorship role between Tony and Peter. When Pete was turning to dust in his arms begging Stark to help him.....Another point. Was I the only one super impressed with the Civil War Iron Spider suit.
I thought that might be cheesy on screen but got damn was it fucking awesome
This new marvel spider man really makes me love the character all over again
in the comics after Ragnarok Asgard was brought back and placed on earth.......if they done that they could do the Siege storyline, which would give them a good reason to introduce the Sentry. If Thor makes it through this thing and Hemsworth stays on, it'll be interesting to see what they do with him. Asgard is gone.
They can't really make a solo Thor movie on Earth without it being an Avengers movie...so it'd have to be cosmic..I don't see them really doing that at this point in time
It should have been called Stormbringer. Stormbreaker makes sense for Beta Ray Bill because he defeated Thor. Whereas Thor brings the storm. They're both star forged. But Stormbreaker. It has a blade.
na not exactly..... the colour scheme was totally different. it had the arms though.... so close enoughYES! It looked EXACTLY like the one he wore in the comic civil war. That battle vs Hulk was done without the use of the power stone. Throughout the film any and every time he would use the stones powers the camera would make a point of shouwing you the gauntlet and stone in use lighting up.
Thanos being able to take out the Hulk fairly easily without any power up surely places him on the top of the power pedestal. That being said i didn’t like the Thor axe shot as Thanos should have been able to evade that with ease. But I’m sure the point was to give the appearance that the Avengers might win.
But like the other guy said, every time he does use the stones they glow. They go out of their way to show that in the movie. Just because it's not explicitly spelled out in dialogue doesn't mean it isn't obvious.
Dinklage said it was a kings weapon, fit only for the king of Asgard. implying that Mjolnir was notWhat is more powerful MJOLNIR or the star forged axe.
I need to rewatch GOTG 2.Hahah.
Excellent point to about Gamora’s planet. It’s an intriguing scene because it does not fall in line with Thanos’ typical MO regarding random, disapassionate selection of who lives and who dies. In that particular instance it seems like a clear case of- if you’re with me, you live, if you aren’t, you die.
I also found the Guardians/Parker/Stark/Strange segment really funny. Quill being embarrassed by being put on the spot to explain the “dance off to save the universe,” Mantis’ kicking names and taking ass line and Tony just looking completely dumbfounded in response.
What’s cool too is I get the sense that Quill saw to an extent what Stark, Spidey, and Strange brought to the table in that brief skirmish so was able to formulate his plan with their skills in mind. Meanwhile, Drax and Mantis got thwarted pretty easily in that exchange so Tony and Parker wouldn’t have been able to get a good read on what they brought to the table. Sort of underscored by Iron Man being bewildered by their existence lol and Spidey being like “what do they do?” I guess my point being Quill, by knowing them well and by mixing it up with Iron Man and Spider-Man and Strange was definitely in the best position to plan that offensive against Thanos in a way that best implemented the strengths of those involved and it worked really well to a point.
Also lol at “is it still the greatest film in history?” And Parker very casually, “It never was.”
I rewatched some scenes from Guardians 2 and when Russell is using the song Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl) to emphasize the difference between Celestials and mortals, Quill is like- “You know that song?” And Ego says. “Yes. One of your mother’s favorites. And one of earth’s finest compositions. If not THE finest.”
And Quill just emphatically nods to that statement and says “Yes!”
Just funny- father and son both overstating the quality of certain popular songs, films, shows.
