In my wildest dreams as a kid, I never would have imagined we'd get movies that respect these characters so much. Guess that's why it irks me when people say stuff like "they expect me to take people in capes dying seriously"
Yes. You're supposed to suspend disbelief that these are real people in real scenarios. LOTR, the matrix, star wars etc have moral dilemmas, character progression, heroic sacrifices etc. Why is that appropriate there but not here?
Characters like cap and tony don't deserve an emotional sendoff after 12 years of movies?
