Yeah it’s a lot better when the combat clicks with you. Still might not finish it for a while though because I’m going back and forth between this and sea of stars. I died a few times to that boss and will try again later this week.Sea Spider dead. Man this game is something else. It goes from Super Mario to Sekiro real quick
The game is fun but it's not a "must play as soon as I get home from work" type game. How is SOS? I'm about to start Quake 2.Yeah it’s a lot better when the combat clicks with you. Some tips for people who are struggling
Sea of stars is alright, but I haven’t got far, imo I liked chained echoes better but we’ll seeOne thing I do love about Armored Core is you can easily play it in really short sessions. The arena has quick matches, the missions are 5 to 10 minutes long. I don't find it compelling to play for a long time though which is quite different from how I felt about Elden Ring and Sekiro. Maybe it's the nature of the maps, not really much to explore.
Sea of Stars I can't speak on yet, only an hour into it but I love the art style and the battle system seems like it will develop into something fun.
I actually am only a few trophies away from the platinum in Quake 2. It's the best 10 dollars I spent this year. Incredibly well made remaster that includes an absurd amount of quality of life updates. The arrow that points you into the correct direction saved me so many times. I remember playing Quake 2 a long time ago and getting so confused about where to go.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 2D fighter, not 3DStreet Fighter is 2D combat. Tekken is 2D with some 3D combat because of its sidestep functionality. True 3D combat would be that Dragon Ball Z game that came out two(?) years ago. Souls uses only the X and Y plane for its combat in a 3D generated world.

What legs you guys using? I've been using the tank tracks. Probably gonna get those reverse legs next
Really digging my lightweight build now. Super agile, rolling with a shotgun and plasma sword with long range pincer missiles and a burst rifle for distance. My goal is to dance inside and punish with the shotgun and blade but I’m not worthless at distance. By far my favorite way to play. Chugging along in chapter three without any major roadblocks.
Love the arena fights, one of my favorite aspects. Gives a great understanding of what other AC builds can do.
Assume you were talking about the fighting game since you mentioned it alongside two other fighting games. Also, Tekken is a 3D fighter.Looked it up. Im referring to Kakarot.
Brutal crowd. Cut him some slack. I get what he's was saying. There was no significant jumping in the Souls series until Elden Ring.
Yeah, I have my Pulse Blade and Assault Rifle on my left, love that perk.I've been using the quad legs a lot, going back and forth between those and bipedal legs. The mobility with the quad legs isn't as great, but the ability to hover, shoot heavy weapons without getting recoil, and generally be a bit more tanky has been quite fun. The cleaner boss is insanely easy with the quad legs - just hover above and rain the pain on him.
If you haven't tried it, the weapon bay upgrade that you buy with the chips is great - lets you put arm weapons on your shoulders. Defeated Sea Spider by pushing his stagger bar almost up to max with machine guns, breaking it with a grenade launcher and then switching to my pulse blade to do some heavy damage. The lasers and the jump kept getting me with that guy! Had to switch back to a bipedal build for him because my poor quad legs couldn't get me out of the way quick enough.
I’ve followed Vaati for years. Just finished watching it though. It’s fantastic just for getting a better understanding of what everything actually does and understanding core mechanics. So you were getting your butt kicked and looked this up ? Gotcha...
Just kidding though, I seriously needed to watch something like that. It's a big departure from their last few titles.
