Multiplat Armored Core VI

Stories told in a From game have always been cryptic. Also, if you came for story this is the wrong company of games for ya.
Yeah that's not at all what is going on here. It reminds me of Ace Combat.

Yeah not sure what people are expecting. From is upfront about who and what they are. Gameplay is king. Everything else is secondary.

I’m loving this game.

I'm enjoying the game. But i'm a pretty decent vet of AC, back from 1997's demo disc of AC1 lol

I've played

1
2
3
Last Raven
4
FA

I also own Ninebreaker and Nexus from the PS2 era, played a bit of Master of the Arena too.

I can say that they have improved the controls and finally the graphics are as good as other games of its era.

10/10 for me so far. The first chapter is cake, you don't really get a challenge until the end when you fight Balteus; grinded him for about an hour or so before I got the patterns down and beat him. A lot of the bosses that come after are even crazier and require a good degree of experimentation to find a build/strategy that works effectively. What a great game, the combat is just so god damn fun.

How's the difficulty compared to the Souls games/Sekiro?
I’d say easier in most ways because you can usually change your build and make fights drastically easier on yourself.

It’s really a game about styles making fights.

Started chapter 3, I feel like the game allows a lot more freedom on the regular mission levels but when it comes to boss fights you’d better have an appropriate build. Spent like an hour trying to take on the chapter two boss with a super light, mobile build and was basically done for if I got hit.

Changed to a beefy hover build with high powered guns and wasted him easily. It was basically stunned the entire fight.

I really wanted to see if I could essentially brute force a non-optimal build but I don’t think my skill level is high enough to do it.

Seems like you get all your money back for selling stuff so there is no penalty for experimenting with different stuff even if it takes all your money. That's nice.

Yeah, buying and selling can work like a respec. Really glad they included that.

What legs you guys using? I've been using the tank tracks. Probably gonna get those reverse legs next

Ah, it makes sense now. This is FromSoftware trying to figure out Souls-like combat in a true 3D environment.

Treating it like Souls combat is what got me messed up early on. Playing aggressive as hell seems to be working much better for me
