Arman Tsarukyan Confirms He was Offered Mateusz Gamrot but Declined

It's fine that he should fight again to re-earn the TS but it should be against a higher-ranked guy

Gaethje would be my pick because Gaethje has already gotten title shots against Khabib and Oliveira. Like Paddy-Tsarukyan is a good matchup but then that kills off whichever contender loses. They probably want both to fight for the title separately, so that's why Tsarukyan-Gaethje is the fight to make

I wouldn't necessarily mind Tsarukyan avenging the robbery but I do think he won the first one already, and I hate the Ultimate Rematch Championship we have going on so I'm voting no on this for being a rematch

I get his reluctance but it might prove to be a stupid move.

UFC does not want to give him a titleshot after pulling out. Khabib, Tony, Charles, etc. they all had to re-earn that titleshot.

Beating Gamrot not only gets him right where he needs to be, he also avenges that one loss on his record.

His titleshot has been delayed as it is, pissing off the UFC by pulling out last minute plus now refusing to re-earn the titleshot won't help him at all.

On the flipside he might want to angle for a bigger fight, since beating Gamrot might not move him forward much. This is why I 100% believe he should rematch Charles if they do indeed make Islam vs Ilia.

Otherwise figure it out between Islam, Ilia, Charles and Arman. Those four have to be matched up against eachother some way.

This was my logic and why, as his manager, i'd be beating him over the head to take the fight. We can take two rounds off Arman, win a split decision, then wait. Right now, he's only singling himself out as "the one guy who doesn't want to fight now" after being "the fat guy who couldnt make weight for a title fight"

He isn't getting that ts again without fighting. That's what happens when you miss weight
I agree.

On one hand I'd like to see him fight Islam because I think Arman can actually win. However, that last minute pullout was unacceptable.

He’s got money, the UFC can’t force him to do anything, unlike the majority of the plebs in the organization.

Wasn't he injured, neck, back, p$#@y...
I don't think he was injured personally. he provided zero evidence of an injury.

Also in the middle of talking about the injuring, he said it happened "during his weight cut". I think he just had a bad weight cut and was a giant pussy about it. He didn't want to miss weight, but he didn't want to force making weight and end up fighting drained.

Well next weeks rankings will be #6 Gamrot #7 Arman

Oh I hope so.
This type of diva stupidity should be punished.

No problem, he doesn't have to fight for a title, or ever again for all they or anyone else realistically gives a shit.

That then begs the question: What is Arman doing here?

He's an idiot. The UFC can permanently extend his contract when he declines fights. They're just going to keep giving him top 5, top 10 guys until he accepts.

Actually it's a smart move unfortunately. With the UFC I've noticed you either have to go all in being their slave or you have to go all in being a stubborn asshole.

The guys in the middle get screwed.

If you're a slave they give you unlimited chances. And by slave I mean always up for short notice fights, never pull out and fight like a toughman.

Stubborn assholes get their way in the form of title shots and higher pay. The downside is if you lose youre done. Thing is those types of guys usually don't lose because they guarantee themselves the best chance to win. IE no short notice fights, tactical/boring but winning.

He is not a warrior though which is lame. The same smart/stubborn fighters that "fight smart" don't like risking anything even if it's to even a score. I loved that from the good old days
